Large hotel with a Russian design, close to the football stadium. This is a functional hotel with reasonable sized rooms. The Internet works well and is free. Staff were pleasant and very helpful. Hotel food was reasonably priced and ok. Breakfast was ok. Not many restaurants nearby so if you want to eat out it's a taxi, which again are...

It was a 4 star hotel 30 years ago I think. I would give it a 2 1/2 star hotel now. Furniture is old and very much used. Need major upgrade. Elvactor is very small. It functions ok. Not very clean. Water pressure is good.

Comfortable room but moldy shower grout, chipped sink and bathtub porcelain, and a shower head that sprays at your chest rather then over your head discouraged me from giving it a better rating. The building is located next to the soccer stadium and not too far from memorial parks. The building design may be post-Soviet period but is rather plain...

Tashkent is not a tourist city. The hotels are inhospitable & cost twice as much as the charming accommodation offered in places like Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva. If Shodlik is one of Tashkent's best hotel, I shudder to imagine what the others must be like. It is a battered, concrete relic of the time when Brutalist architecture dominated the Soviet...

We were very satisfied with our room, which was comfortable and clean. The location was fine, somewhat of a long walk from Chorsu Bazaar but along a very nice, tree-lined boulevard. There are not many places to eat in the vicinity, but it's not too far to the metro. Our only complaint was that while we were asked to pay...

We stayed at the Shodlik Palace for 5 nights over 3 occasions during our recent Central Asia trip and overall, our stays were very comfortable. The staff at reception and the restaurant spoke good English so we had no trouble communicating. The room itself was large and clean and the shower had good pressure which is really all you need...

Room was clean and spatcious. 24 hour room service. Wifi is slow but seems to be the case across the city it seems. They dont exchange currency which is a shame but are happy to provide directions and instructions on how to do so. Breakfast wasn't too bad.

We stayed at the Shodlik Hotel twice in July. Its an old, but renovated soviet era hotel, which was actually kind of cool. We really liked the rooms, which were very large and clean. The beds were fine and I liked to step out on the balcony in the morning. The room size was particularly great at the end of...

You can't avoid the fact that this is a fairly ugly Soviet era building, but it has been nicely refurbished inside. You have to remember this is in Uzbekistan so the breakfast buffet contains things you don't find elsewhere. But there is still a good selection and I thoroughly enjoyed it. for other meals, there restaurant is quite good and...
