Returned yesterday from 4 nights at this lovely boutique hotel in Sirkeci in the old part of Istanbul. The last visit to Istanbul was 15 years ago so was keen to re-visit. The flight with Easyjet into Sabiha Gokcen Airport was superb. Then the Havas bus into Taksim and a bus then down to the waterfront opposite Sirkeci Station and...

I stayed at the Hotellino twice and each time was lovely. While the rooms are small, they are clean, fine, quiet and have wonderful soaps, free water, etc. for guests. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. It was very conveniently located to many restaurants and sites - extremely walkable. We had a lovely time at this hotel and...

Want to thank the owner for all her help and suggestions and all the staff who were friendly, professional and always keen to offer advice. The Hotel is very central just 5 minutes walk from the Station and 10 from the ferry boats. Istanbul is a megalopolis much changed in the 15 years since I last visited. Confident, busy, with...

Although this review is well overdue, I had to put my word of support toward Hotellino. Staff are great, helpful, friendly and considerate. I dont think the owner can be any more helpful... if so i think she would escort you around Istanbul!!! Youare brilliant.... Breakfast is great, the only problem is that with so much to choose i think...

In January 2012 I spent a wonderful time in Istanbul having stayed in Hotellino. It is situated in old city - so we had a pleasure to walk and see the most beautiful and famous places such as St. Sofia`s, Blue Mosque. The atmosphere of the hotel was homelike because of friendly and hospitable staff. Every morning we had a...

Stayed with family (4 adults) in March 2011 and would not hesitate to use the hotel again. The staff were friendly and helpful - they enabled us to check in early, stored our big bags whilst we did an overnight tour to Gallipoli and Troy, and opened the kitchen over an hour early so that we could have breakfast before...

This small hotel has very nice pleasant atmosphere. Location is perfect on the quiet side street from tramvay line, Sirkeci tram stop is just 2 min by walking, Eminonu ferry station is 5 min by feet, all Sultanahment attractions such as Blue Mosque, Saint Sophia, Basilica Cictern etc. are only in 10 min walking distance. Rooms are very clean and...

Hotellino was an excellent boutique hotel. We were met by receptionist Susan who did a fantastic job at accommodating us and making sure we had everything we needed. I felt that we bombarded her with questions and requests for help but she was always happy to help. Mine was a great hostess who gave us helpful hints around the city...

I recently returned home to Hong Kong after spending seven nights at Hotellino. I don't know where to start my praise of this chic boutique hotel in the very heart of Sultanahmet, Istanbul. My third-floor room was lovingly appointed, spotlessly clean and immensely comfortable. The breakfast included in the price was delicious and filled with a variety of foods to...

Hotel staff was helpful. A very energy efficient facility. Clean. Located off if the main road so it is quiet at night.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
