We stayed for 10 nights at the Seraglio while in Istanbul and were totally happy with our visit. The hotel is perfectly located--close to everything and yet on a quiet street except for the call to prayer which we enjoyed hearing (the price of being a block and a half away from the Blue Mosque); the staff is extremely helpful...

We booked this hotel following the Trip Advisor recommendations, and we had an excellent stay. It’s a small and cozy hotel, located just a few meters away from the main attractions (Aya Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi palace, etc). There was free parking in front of the hotel. The rooms were impeccable, the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was nice...

After lots of searching and finally making a decision based on all the other hotels I thought I wanted to stay at were already booked. The street is ideal, it is close to the main eating stip without being in the middle of it, it is not down or up a hill like a lot of the hotels can be....

Excllent. Location good -near to all the exquisite tourist spots, tramway and sea, and in a safe area where you could walk at night. Clean, well maintained, very spacious room with a lovely balcony. Good breakfasts with a variety of delicious food. Afternoon tea served daily. Cosy restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff, particularly the concierge who gave us very useful...

Everything about this hotel was wonderful. We are two adults and three kids (ages 11, 9 and 6). The room with the rooftop terrace was good for us, although our kids are small, so an extra cot would be needed for "regular" sized kids. They helped us with recommendations for what to see, where to eat, where to do laundry,...

Stayed here in May and could not fault the hotel in anyway. The location was perfect for the sites, the rooms were a good size and very clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. If I return to Istanbul I will certainly stay again and havs recommended this to several people already. Thank you for making our stay so...

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. It's located in Sultanahmet, the tourist center of Istanbul, a few minutes' walk from the Ayasofia, Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace. The people at the front desk were extremely helpful, friendly, and spoke excellent English. They let me use their cell phone to contact another hotel, served us tea the second...

We (2 adults and 2 children stayed here for 6 nights at the beginning of June. We initially had some difficulty in getting 2 rooms for such a long period but Secil, who looks after sales and reservations, was extremely helpful and managed to sort out our stay. Her prompt and helpful emails probably made up our minds for us...

Our welcome upon arrival was one of the warmest greetings we have ever experienced. Arriving earlier than expected at 8:30 AM, of course our rooms weren't ready. We were offered a full breakfast, storage of our luggage, and use of the lobby computer, although the entire hotel has free wifi. The room is a nice size w an extremely comfortable...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
