This small, boutique hotel is located just steps away from all of the main attractions in the Sultanahmet district. It is clean and comfortable with simply superb service. My room was a bit small--but that was not an issue as I spent very little time there. Sleep quality is great--very quiet neighborhood. A special thanks to Mustafa, the manager: Thank...

We are here for 6 days and it's just been 2 days since we arrived here but I so impressed with friendly staff. I would like to mention Anis name he is really cooperative and always ready to help. We ask them so many things like hot water etc. at late night as we got 1 baby and 1 kid...

The location of this hotel is fantastic. The hotel is within 2 minutes walk of the hippodrome and the Blue Mosque and 5 minutes from the Agia Sophia and the Cistern. There are plenty of good places to eat and shop nearby and it is close to the tram stop. The staff were very helpful and informative. It is very...

Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in what feels like a lovely cozey hotel. The rooms are pristine and clean. Staff are what really makes the hotel. Mehmet, Musa and Mustafa work at the hotel and were extremely helpful and friendly. To be honest they make the holiday very memorable!

This hotel was our choice due to the central location rigth at the historical sites (A.Sofia and Blue Mosce and close to the Bazar. Very nice and service minded people. The hotel is not a totally new super construction in steel and glass (old rugs on the floor and not so many rooms) but the rooms are clean and well...

Although the location, hotel and staff are good, the management is UNREASONABLY INFLEXIBLE and UNFAIR. Midway through my stay the entire hotel lost running water due to a plumbing problem. After being assured that it would be repaired shortly I decided to tough it out. However, after two days without a shower, limited breakfast options, and a fowl smelling room...

The staff at the Lausos Hotel is friendly, helpful, and speak English quite well. We had no problems communicating. The price (Nov. 2014) of Euro 105 for a top floor suite is not the lowest price for a room in Istanbul off season, but the view can not be beat at this price. A photo of room 503 shows the...

For our wedding anniversary we decided to spend a long weekend in Istanbul. We chose to stay in the Dream Suite at the Lausos Hotel. We had a superb visit. The suite has an incredible uninterrupted view stretching from the Blue Mosque to the Hagia Sofia. It was mesmerising. The hotel provides a lovely breakfast and we thoroughly enjoyed eating...

Traveled with two other female cousins and we loved our stay at Lausos Hotel... We were dropped off, hours before check in but the staff were so welcoming and did all they could to make us as comfortable as it were possible for 3 ladies after a 12 hour flight. They offered us hot breakfast and kept asking us if...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
