The location is great ,many places nearby to dine around, especially if you are into sea food. Some vegetarian and vegan options available nearby too. Some people may not like the sounds and smells from the restaurants, but we were ok. It may be noisy for some people at night from outside, but it did not bother us. The views...

I am originally from Istanbul living abroad. I stay in different hotels whenever I am in Istanbul to visit my family quite frequently . I am an extensive traveler spending at least 20-25 weekends outside of my home address. Me and my husband booked 3 nights last week starting form friday in this hotel. Knowing the neighborhood, we were expecting...

We've stayed one night. The design of the room make you feel comfortable and relaxed. Even we had "Bosphorus view" in the bathroom. Bed and the bathroom was clean. You can enjoy the sea view from the balcony.

It was a very nice experience to stay at the Villa Denise Hotel. It offers the advantage of staying at a boutique hotel at a reasonable price. The location is very good as it is close to very attractive sites and the view is spectacular. The restaurant/bar of the hotel has a nice design and tasty food. I especially recommend...

Very nicely decorated rooms with one of the best views of Bosphorus in the upper rooms. Great location with many good restaurants within very short walking distance. They also have a bar downstairs that has really good cocktails.

This is a great boutique hotel to enjoy the Bosphorous , Bebek and Arnavutkoy area , If you want to experience the real Istanbul away from crowded tourist area and traffic, look no further. Further from the airport than we thought...nearly an hour with the busy traffic. Nicely located though on the riverside....but quite a lot of noise from the street below at night on the weekend. Room was comfortable...one or two things not in it like you'd find in other places but the staff were extremely helpful and fetched whatever was required. We...

Villa Denise is a funky boutique hotel on the Bosphorus. The staff were outstanding. The breakfast waiter was very personable, funny, learned everybody's name and food preferences fast, and was equally eager to practice his English as he was to help with our nonexistent Turkish. Good food for breakfast and dinner. The rest of the staff was very friendly and...

Villa Denise is located right off the central square and on the water in the charming Bosphorus village of Arnavutkoy. The rooms are light and airy with nice water views , even from the bathrooms which are modern and spacious. Two rooms have balconies. The style is pseudo old Ottoman with gilt and brocade which isn't to everyone's taste but...

It is hard to find nice places to stay on the Bosphorus that dont cost a fortune. Villa Denise is in Arnavutkoy, a village of brightly painted gingerbread villas- think San Francisco. It is located by the Bosphorus, across from the picturesque ferry station on the tiny central square and surrounded by a dozen or so very fancy fish restaurants....

Staying in Besiktas

Neighbourhood Profile
In Besiktas, skyscrapers compete with palaces for space in an upscale vista replete with hilly green parkland filling in the margins. Step into this rather wealthy neighbourhood and discover a rich mix of opportunities to shop, dine, and be entertained. For folks in search of urban buzz, not to mention a constant reminder of just how important Istanbul’s waterways are to its rich history, there's the frenetic Besiktas ferry terminal or the city’s most vibrant fish market to explore. For a timeout of metropolitan proportions, head to the bucolic Yildiz Park or the chic Bosphorus-side fishing village of Ortakoy. Attractions such as the grandiose Dolmabahce Palace and a bevy of other stately residences await admiration. To be sure, this large and not overly touristy swath of Istanbul yields plenty of pleasure for all.
