It's in a great location in the cosmopolitan Taksim neighborhood. If you actually want to have some fun in Istanbul this is the place to be. I stayed in two other hostels during my time in Istanbul which were both disappointingly empty. If you like to stay at hostels to socialize with other travelers and locals I recommend Levanten. Also...

I booked for 2 nights in this place; in the morning when I was out visiting, they moved my stuff without telling me because they had a booking for a whole dorm so they put me in another room with other people, I was going to expand my stay for one more night but in the second day they wanted...

This is an awesome place to stay, specially for young travelers. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The hostel is near metro; bus; tram stations, and is in the middle of Taksim square. There is also Wifi, and a kitchen so you can prepare your food if you don't want to spend much money on restaurants. I've been to...

This is a good simple hostel near the Taksim square. I think it'll be a better place to stay if they provide a better WiFi in the room. Location: This is about 5 min walk away from the Taksim square. Since this is located in a lower area, you may have a tough time to climb up the hill until...

Absolutely great place to stay in Istambul! Location is perfect- 5 min by walk from Taksim square, Isticlal street, metro and tram stops. You can walk to the historical part of the city as well. Even location is so central, it's a quite place and there is a chance to have a good rest (not noisy). Rooms are simple but...

The creeper at the front desk stole my partner's underwear whilst holding our bags for breakfast, then played coy. Is that even a thing? The worst of Istanbul, in a nutshell. Awful rooms, but cheap and relatively central (new town).

We arrived late at the hostel and were warmly greeted by the staff and offered tea or coffee. We decided on tea and it was our first time trying Turkish tea!! Very nice!! We were brought to our room and shown around the bathroom. We slept very well. The next morning we enquired about a trip to Cappadocia and Oskan...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
