Quiet place to stay. Staff is nice. Rooms are comfortable enough. Very close to all tourist destinations in Old City. There's some tram noise, but is makes you feel the beat of the city, which is awesome. Would come back again.

This is my second visit and we came back motivated from the wonderful first time we stayed over there. Unfortunately, the quality of the service changed within one year, it seems they feel pretty confident with their badge of TA in the door so they won't have to go the extramile. People at reception pretty rude, ready to flirt and... More

Nice hotel in the heart of Istanbul, in Sultanahmet area, close the Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and the T1 tram line. Room was very clean, well equipped. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The small breakfast room is in the basement, the buffet breakfast was delicious: egg, cheese, salami, bread, jam, honey, milk, tea, coffee etc. Our room... More

A very nice hotel with excellent location, just few minutes from Topkapi palace and Sultanahmed square, as well from the port and railway station. Gülhane tramstop nearby makes it also easy the travel around by tram. Very friendly and helpful staff who make you feel welcome. The rooms are spotless clean and nice - though for two people with their... More

I stayed at Flower Palace Hotel in Istanbul in September 2011. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious (by Istanbul standards); the breakfast was the standard staple cuisine (boiled egg and omlette, tea and coffee, cheese, tomatoes and cucumbers); the staff was polite and helpful. The location is perfect, close to Topkapi and between the Aya Sofia and the... More

We spent there three perfect nights: the rooms looked totally refurbished with nice temperature and every place was spotlessly clean; we had free and nice breakfast in this amazing terrace, the attention from the staff was outstanding and the location is perfect. By far, my new favorite hotel in Istanbul.

Nice hotel in the middle of the tourist area between the Blue Mosque and the waterfront, ferry terminal. It's an easy walk to the Blue Mosque, Aya Sofiya, Grant Bazaar, Spice Market and the bridge over the Bosporus Strait. The lobby is not much to talk about. Had a room on the 3rd floor directly overlooking the street with the... More

The rooms are basic and functional. It has a decent bed, A/C, hot shower, and free wifi, but relatively slow. It also comes with breakfast. During the time I was there, breakfast was in the basement, and it was somewhat gloomy due to a lack of windows. It would have been alot nicer to have breakfast on the roof terrace,... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
