This hotel is right beside all 4 major monuments that I wanted to see in Istanbul. The staff is friendly, and the free breakfast is good as far as Turkish breakfast is concerned. I would stay here again.

This is a very cute, and very small, boutique hotel located next to Hajia sofia and the blue mosque. Room was clean with beautiful simple Ottoman decorations and a comfortable mattress. bathroom is clean and tastefully done. The manager went out of his way to help us. The hotel does not have an elevator which made our trip to the...

Perfect location for touristic visit of Istanbul, right over Cistern Museum and next to tram stop. Attentive to details, caring and discreet (which we, latvians, appreciate) host Mr. Gürhan. Teşekkürler!

Spent a night there with my family, during a short stop over on my way to the states. I can only recommend it. It's a nice little hotel, wonderfully located in sultanahmet less than 200 meters from Ayia Sofia. The owner of the hotel is very nice -- a gentleman who takes pride in his hotel; and who does all...

I wish I have read the previous review. I completely agree with it. For the money we paid, I would have got a better service. I stayed in 2 hotels in my 4 days stay in Istanbul. This was the first one and the impression was waste of money. The other one which was just 100m from this hotel was...

I had a 7 day stay in this place with my family, it doesn't have an elevator, not even a bellboy to carry the luggage. I booked for 3 adults and paid extra amount for extra bed, but instead of keeping the extra bed in the room, they've just covered a sofa with a white sheet and a pillow (refer...

Great Location! with great view of the blue mosque and Aya Sofia. Staff, especially Gurhan, was extremely helpful and kind. Breakfast was included and the Wifi worked perfectly every day. They also picked us up from the airport free and assisted us in reserving the airport shuttle on the way back. No lift, but this did not bother me. Breakfast...

Kervan hotel was decent – breakfast was included in the reservation I made, so that was quite helpful. It was the standard Turkish breakfast you get at any hotel or B ‘n’ B: cheese, milk, cereal, boiled eggs, lots of bread, juices, etc. The man at the front desk was very nice (not only did he give us very detailed...

2 minutes to Hagia Sofiya, 3 minutes to Blue Mosque, right on top of the Basilica Cistern, and 7 minutes walk to the Grand Bazaar it could not possibly be better located. (Once they had recovered from the 3 day citywide power cut) the room was warm enough and the hot water was plentiful. While the room was cosy, the...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
