Stayed here in April 2013. Great location that's quiet, yet minutes away from Istiklal Avenue. We took a junior suite, which was compactly organised - small toilet with strong shower, open kitchenette (hob, sink, coffee maker, kettle), tall shelf with TV separating sofa/cupboard area from queen bed. It was very comfortable. Staff, while not all fluent in English, were super...

Through a mix up between the taxi driver and the hotel (beware, it is hard to find!) we ended up at the wrong Stories hotel (there are 3 of them). Our charming host offered either to deliver us to the right one, or an upgrade where we were. We stayed and had a Junior Suite, which was marvellous. This is...

We booked through booking.com on arrival we realized that we had booked and prepaid for the dates we thought, but for the next month! The hotel staff were very professional and because they had space they said they could of course honor our booking and prepayment then instead. Great service throughout our stay. When we were there on Saturday night,...

Would recommend it wholeheartedly. An excellent boutique hotel with excellent service, located near the center, with marvellous aesthetics. We had a lovely time as a couple visiting Istanbul for the first time.

We had a good experience at this hotel. It's pretty small and quite charming, the rooms are very well decorated, and the lobby is nice and spacious. It is great value for what you get. The only problems are the location, although very close to Istikal, it was really hard to arrive by car, which caused us some problems with...

Very convenient for Taksim Square but the hotel is loacted in a local neighbourhood. It's crammed between other houses and shops... The hotel itself is neat and tidy but very basic and tiny ! I have not seen a small hotel than this before.

This place was quite hard to find, even the taxi driver had some grief locating it. Even when I knew where it was I kept walking past it as it is so well camouflaged to the street. Anyway, very nice room but tiny! The cleaner didn't refill my toiletries however.

The stay here was perfect, as the hotel location is fabulous, right in the middle of everything, and the metro close by. we stayed in the kings deluxe room, everything was perfect in the room, very nicely done up and extremely comfortable and clean. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The only thing is the hotel does not have...

This hotel is worth the effort to find, it takes you off the main streets and opens another world. I have stayed in the Old City part of Istanbul on three previous visits and may have been converted to this lively part of town close to taksim square where airport transfers are easy and inexpensive. The hotel was readily willing...

We stayed for 4 nights late august. Originally booked for stories kuloglu but was transferred down the road to karakol as the AC wasn't working. For us the area was perfect, located off from a VERY busy shopping district. At night the place was simply alive with people and corn/kebab stalls. It is a 3 minute walk to Taksim square...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
