The Location is absolutely perfect! The staff was really polite and kind. The room was big and comfortable. But …. the sofas were very threadbare and in need of changing or a thorough clean. The bunk beds were exceedingly uncomfortable....everything was a litlle mess. The building for 4-person room is a little bit away from the istiklal street.

This place is difficult to find. A small building on a narrow street that is really busy during the night. Even though this is not a hotel and there is no service, it is still a good place to stay. The negative is that the area is really hip at night and there is a club right next to the... More

It literally 5 steps to Istkilyal, subway near and are very easy to walk to the Galata tower. Apartments it is much more convenient, than the hotel - is... More

It was my first time in Istanbul and it was the best choice to stay at Taksim Home Apart! The hotel is located in the center of Taksim. You have a lot of nice bars, restaurants and shops in that area. Additionally, it´s a good central point to do trips within Istanbul. The hosts were really friendly and helpful. They... More

Excellent, central location. Friendly staff. Spacious, well air-conditioned&equipped apartments. Working elevator and a large comfortable bed. Reggae fans benefit - reggae bar with a fearsome sound on the roof.

This place is advertised as a Hotel with a apartment style layout, but when you get there you will realise that they have actually rented a few apartments in various buildings. So like us you may end up upstairs of random shops. No elevator. No sound proofing, so expect to hear the traffic all night long. They squeeze 4 beds... More

Yusuf, the proprietor, is a sweetheart! So generous and helpful. Very accessible with excellent English. We stayed in the large apt with a balcony and watched the whole May Day Parade under us! Of course very good eating, shopping and action all around...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
