We were relocated to empire palace hotel since there is some issues with Siesta Hotel. The stay at Empire Palace hotel was great. We did not get to go to the Siesta Hotel, the staff at Empire Palace hotel said that they are under same company, so I assume Siesta is not bad.

Stayed there in December 2015 for the first time and again in January 2017 and it was great again. Small nice hotel in a perfect location. Very quiet place with a beautiful mosque next door. Absolutely worth to stay!

The stay was really nice. The hotel is close to everything. The views are great and the breakfast was good. More importantly we had a few problems and had to delay our trip. The hotel was very accommodating having no problem changing our reservation. When we visit Istanbul we will definitely stay there again.

We had two rooms - a double and a triple. The rooms were clean, and the triple was very spacious with its own balcony. The staff were always friendly and very helpful. They arranged to get us picked up from the airport in the hotel shuttle for free, and also arranged for our transport back to the airport (this required...

On a recent visit to the Turkey, we spent two nights at the Siesta a Hotel in Istanbul. Booked by a friend, this hotel would not have initially been on my list of choices, but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is very well situated for the main attractions, being in walking distance to places like the Blue a mosque,...

We have stayed in the Siesta Hotel with our little baby for five nights. The room was small, but absolutely perfect and enough space for the baby bed. Beautiful view over a mosque and the sea. Service is nice and friendly. Very good breakfast. For us it was a great value for the price!

We stayed there for close to a week during our stay in Istanbul. Ideally located in the heart of Sultanahmet area, this one is very close to many tourist attractions. Our rooms were promptly cleaned on a daily basis and the rooms were spacious and looked newly renovated. One downfall was the drain in the bathroom shower did not function...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

“If you want a triple room ask for 202, it's bigger than 201, and the third person will sleep in an actual bed and not a sofa. 201 has better view though. Not that it matter.”
