Clean, comfortable, quiet, tastefully done. We had Rm 201 for 3 nights, my wife and myself. Has a cool little balcony looking out over the ancient wall, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, EXCELLENT breakfast included, with stunning views. My only complaint has to do with the area rather than the accommodations. It is SO touristy on the Sultanahmet side. Wow, hard...

The location of Aura Apart hotel is very very central, close to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. We had airport pick up included in our stay (only one way). The hotel is reasonable, looks nothing like a hotel from the outside, more like a house door on a side street of Sultanehmet. The room was very very clean but a...

Traveling with our 8 month old son, we are very lucky to have found Aura apartments for our visit to Istanbul. The reservation process and prearrival communication were simple and hassle free, and everything agreed was delivered, the baby crib in the room, the airport pick-up (included in the price of stay), and even our last minute demand for baby...

After some extensive searching for a place to stay in Istanbul, which started back in February 2012, we found the Ekim Apartments, correspondence from Saban was excellent. He emailed me October and advised of a location change to Aura Apartment Hotel, but assured of the same quality of lodging, and pictures were email to me. The airport pickup was excellent...

I was very curious about this apartment because my friends were talking about this apartment and the other one (Ekim Apartment) after their short trip to Istanbul. They said that it is the best apartment ever with great hosts. So, I followed my curiosity and went there for it was my chance to visit Istanbul. The owner of the apartments,...

So I was actually trying to book a room at a partner property, and when I inquired about availability the owner helpfully sent me photos and descriptions of all the rooms available across 3 properties (Ekim, Aura, Turquoise). Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
