The location of this hotel was very convenient for us as the shuttle service that took us to the Ozyegin University was only five minutes walk from there. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was very basic but good.
It is a business stay close to Altunizade office area. Not a touristic spot. You dont expect much, but rooms are small. I stayed at room 601, one level below the entrance lobby. The room is under the lobby and next to the elevator. Not...More

Holiday Inn Express Altunizade may not be the easiest-to-reach hotel in Istanbul, but it's certainly worth the effort of getting there. It lies on the Asian side of town in a quiet neighbourhood full of universities and other Western hotels such as the Mercure. Any...More
This hotel was chosen for its location - not for the tourist sights but for the ease of getting to the conference I was attending.

Home to more than half a million residents, Uskudar on the Asian side of the Bosphorus is one of Istanbul’s most densely populated neighbourhoods. Once a Greek colony, later a haven for people from across the Mediterranean and the Middle East, this gateway to Asia has been an active and diverse hub for eons. Still, visitors to Uskudar are often more overcome by its myriad treasures than by its many thousand
residents. And with fairytale settings such as the “Maiden’s Tower” as well as grand examples of Ottoman Era architecture, plenty of parks, a gorgeous and lengthy coastline, and some of Turkey’s holiest sites, there’s no end to the sightseeing possibilities. Easily reached from the city’s European shores via a steady network of ferries, time spent in Uskudar reveals a “real life” Istanbul that many who experience find extremely fascinating.
