I stayed in Bada Bing hostel and that was as to stay at home. At our arrival we were very welcomed by the guys at the hostel in the hall and they gave us all sort of information about the city and Turkey. The hostel has a perfect position to visit most Istambul attractions and the people managing the hostel...

I stayed at Bada Bing for several days in one of the large dorm rooms. Overall it was a decent place. The staff in particular were great - all friendly, helpful guys. The location was also perfect, as it's a quick tram ride to the historical Sultanahmet district but also close to shopping (Istiklal Street), Taksim, and the Karakoy ferry...

The staff go after the "attractive" females in kind of a sleazy way and if you get too much attention from them they don't like the competition even if you are not trying to be with anyone. Different from many hostels I've been to but I've seen it before in Istanbul, I feel it's unprofessional and tacky so I left...

This place was incredible. Our experience I'm Istanbul was made so much better because we stayed here. The hostel is clean, the food (while not included) is well worth the cheap price, and above all the service is out of this world. The bada bing staff will do everything they can to ensure you have the best trip imaginable. Highly...

Clean well sized room. Walls are paper thin and noise is a big problem. If you cant rest then what's the point right?. 3 day stay and our private en suite room wasn't even cleaned once. I would honestly skip this place and go with a hotel. Not worth the money.

Great place, very friendly staff, convenient location in modern Istanbul, near Galata, Karaköy, Beyoğlu, Taksim, Istiklal caddesi, etc. It can be a bit noisy when there are parties on the rooftop, but if there are beds available at the lower floor, the staff may move your bed assignment to a more quiet room, more distant from the party ;-) I...

This is an excellent, clean, and affordable hostel with quality people working there. Perfect location - away from the noise but very close to both key historical areas and transport to all Istanbul has to offer. Most importantly, the staff are wonderful people. They always look after the guests like their own family. I have been here several times with...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
