The room was very clean and we had a pleasant and calm stay. There were a few things missing(toilet paper, two towels) when we arrived but the staff provided those right away. They were very pleasant and forthcoming. On our 2nd day we noticed that there was someone in the room that had cleaned it up a bit although the...

We stayed there for three nights and booked a double room with en suite facilities. It is located very close to Taksim Square, so public transport is easily accessible, but you can move around on foot,if you wish. It was a nice, clean place. The stuff was very friendly and helpful. The only problem was that there was no elevator. This is...

This hotel is a great value in the heart of Taksim - close enough to Istiklal Caddesi to be near the action, but far enough away that you can have some quiet as well. It was perfect for me, because it's close to the Havatas bus pick-up and drop-off point, and I had an early connecting flight. I called ahead...

An exceptional stay. This room has been the equivalent of staying in a monastery in the middle of Times Square. So quiet I could hardly believe I was staying in one of the busiest areas in Istanbul. It was also incredibly cold with heavy snow throughout my visit but this has been one of the cosiest rooms I have ever...

The first time we went to the hotel we had some trouble finding it but once we did we were very positively surprised. The people are very nice, friendly and welcoming and the rooms very clean and cosy. We liked it so much we returned one week later. If I go back to Istanbul one day I already know where...

The apartment was tidy, spacious, and well-located also. It is 2 minutes walking distance from Taksim Square, the central square of Istanbul and large public transport hub. There are many caffés nearby. Guys running this hotel are very nice and helpful, they explained and showed us everything. This accommodation was a great choice, I really recommend it!

Really nice hotel. It is not far from the metro station Taksim. We lived on the 3rd floor, our appartments were small, but clean and nice. All staff are very polite. There is no elevator. It is enough loud outside at night. There is wifi in every room.

Nice place, recently restored, extremely close to Taksim square, though in a slightly off-the-beaten-track zone. The street may appear a bit spoiled if compared to the glittering neighbourhood of Istiklal, anyway it is safe and quite strategic for all means of transport (bus from/to Sabiha Gokcen airport included). We were in a double room with private bathroom, air con, free...

We stayed for 4 days in late July 2014. The hotel location is very convenient. Airport bus stop is just in 5 minute walk. Taksim square and Istikal street are very close to the place. It was easy to get everywhere. The hotel staff was very polite and helpful. Our room no.1 was on the first floor. It was clean...

I visited Istanbul with my friends for some business purpose. We booked Pembe Cati for our stay. It was pretty good apartment hotel, located at centre of the city. Its plus point is its location. Service was appreciable, staff courteous and polite. Rooms were well equipped with all basic amenities, kitchen was adjoined. This makes our stay even more better....

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
