Easy to reach and perfectely located at the begining of istiklal caddesi at Beyoglu. This is a simple hostel. Quite essential infrastructere. Don't book if you're picky. The ensuit double room was a bit stinky beucase we could feel the smell of sewage from the sink. Anyway, You get what you pay for. I would stay there again.

I was only going to spend two nights in Istanbul, and I knew the days would be busy, so since I only needed somewhere to sleep for a few hours and nothing else, I thought this seemed like a good idea. "No need for luxury" was the mantra. OK, luxurious it was not, but it was a really nice place...

We stayed 10 days in July here and came back (after our Turkey-Trip) to stay one week more. The Hostel has a good location: it's central (near Istikal), but it' s in a small and quiet road. Perfect. The owners and members of staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a well equipped kitchen you can use. It is...

I was made to feel welcome the moment I walked in the door. Chris (speaks German, Turkish, English, and probably Jive) was kind, helpful, and expressed a sort of trust in people you don't normal encounter in hostel/hotel employees. All the employees are massively pleasant. On numerous occasions they (all of them) offered to share their food and drinks when...

The location of hostel is excellent. We're so glad to stayed here for one week. Hygienical toilets-showers and kitchen, clean room, friendly people, in the middle of city but very noiseless. We recommend to everyone, who wants to spend a perfect time. And special thanx to dear Chris. Wish to see you next time...:)) Peace&Love, love, love...

I am so happy I stayed here for one week. I travel alone and CHris and Ibrahim made me feel so welcome, they really create a relaxing and low key social atmosphere with the guests. I felt very much at home and wanted to stay longer. Everything was clean, the bed was so comfortable, shower pressure was hot and strong,...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
