Amazing place to stay. Thanks to owner Mr Kutay for the wonderful help. We are a family of 6 people and it is always nice to have the whole house (4 rooms) to ourself. it is as if we became a part of the local Turkish people and surroundings.

About a kilometer from the major Sultanahmet tourist attractions (Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia), this collection of cozy housekeeping units had everything we needed for a one-week stay. Our room was equipped with two comfortable beds -- one double, the other twin -- making it practical for a couple or two single travelers, even for a family with one child....

This hotel is great in all aspects. Rooms are good for the price range, beds are comfortable. The terrace on the roof gives a spectacular view of the city. The location is excellent. Many major sights are nearby. A tram station is also close and will get you anywhere you wish. (Public transport is cheap. We would recommend taking the...

For the price, it's an excellent hotel. Location is ideal as it's very close to all the tourist spots, Sultan Ahmed (Blue Mosque), Topkapi Palace, Sulimaniye ect. There is a local mosque at the bottom of the road where we would do our prayers. The view from the rooftop was amazing, especially at sunset Management is top notch, Father Berk...

Pros: The location is fantastic. Everything you want to see in Istanbul (Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace etc.) is within walking distance. If you are also after an authentic Turkish experience, this apartment is situated on the side of Istanbul that isn't as rich as the Europe side and is sprawling with markets and eateries so you...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
