We had a late check in and the our concierge was very kind and helpful. woke up the next morning and were told where to have our free breakfast which was standard: cheese, eggs, tea, fruit, yogurt. all very good and fresh. Karakoy is a bustling neighbourhood but most of the bustle was muted due to a brisk January. note:...

Other reviews have give out the description of the room already, I would like to add a bit more about how I feel! I was in Room 12 which I found stunning, stylist, relaxing and so so cosy. It was difficult for me to chose between going out exploring Istanbul or just lay down on the bed with my book...

Rob8888 has given a perfect and detailed description of the amazing Karaköy rooms - I have no words to describe how wonderful this hotel, and its companion Autoban-designed Karakoy Lokantsi, is. The rooms are stunning, the staff friendly and welcoming and the owner's warm welcome every morning at breakfast was something I was looking forward to before setting off to...

Karakoy is the area to stay in. it was an industrial zone and now it's the artists' hub. very nice designer shops, close to Istanbul modern museum, a great hammam is nearby and it's very central so you can go to all areas easily by walk, metro and ferry to the asian side. Karakoy rooms is a beautiful boutique hotel,...

Karaköy rooms offers very big and spacious rooms. If you have the chance choose rooms with a view and top floor! Breakfast is offered in their restaurant around the corner. It's typical Turkish and has a very good selection. If you have a chance go also for dinner as their 'Mezze' and 'Fish' offerings is very good! We felt very...

I came to Turkey for a solo motorcycle trip that began/ended in Istanbul, so I ended up staying here twice; by the end, it felt like a home away from home. The hotel location is fantastic. It's a little difficult to find the first time (the door is right next to the Karakoy Lokantsi (restaurant), which is owned/operated by the...

A great location in a trendy neighbourhood. The staff were very polite and helpful. It's decorated very tastefully- modern, clean and classy. A delicious breakfast is served just around the corner in a lovely restaurant- the best we had during our stay in Istanbul/Buyukada.

Staying in Karakoy

Neighbourhood Profile
Karakoy
Sitting pretty with an age-old air about it, Karakoy is situated on the European side of the Bosphorus at the mouth of the Golden Horn. Perhaps the city’s most historically significant area, it’s currently one of the most happening parts of town as well. Here street vendors and alfresco fish restaurants line the banks of the Horn where the views of major attractions across the water rival Karakoy’s own key attractions, such as the iconic 14th century Galata Tower and the Museum of Modern Art. A major hub for local and international waterborne traffic, Istanbul’s commercial and maritime heritage remains as relevant and evident as ever in Karakoy. Commuter ferries mingle with luxury cruise liners at its busy port, ensuring a continuously cosmopolitan flow of people..
