Economic rooms are so small that you must jump over your baggage to reach the bed! Worst breakfast I've ever seen, not comparable to any other hotels in Istanbul (see photos). You may just find cheese, breads, tea and hard boiled eggs! No warm breakfast! Thats ridiculous! (specially if you are staying 10 days just like me!) Consider this hotel... More

Location is great. Belive me its the best! Nice and tidy. I've been in many hotels in Istanbul (5 star, 4 star, 3 star and even no star!); but Atık Palas has the poorest free breakfast among these hotels! Economic rooms are very small, but standard rooms are much better. And there's no tea maker/boiler in the room which is... More

Very convenient location of a hotel in terms of sightseeing and shopping points makes me feel that I'm gonna come back here once again. Clean, neat, but a bit weak on breakfasts. Overall I liked it. Btw, when you have breakfast watch out for birds or they'll steal your food))

This is a very very good hotel, I stay in this hotel whenever I'm in istanbul for business. My most recent stay was for 2 weeks and I had a pleasant service. The location is very good, rooms are very clean though small in size, the staff is very efficient and make sure my stay is always comfortable. I have... More

I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights during spring 2014 and it was the cheapest offer made online. The closest metro station is Osmanbey but it can be a bit tricky to find the hotel from it since its on a side street so make sure to write down the adress and good instructions also considering most ppl in... I stayed there for 2 nights. Our room was too small and the smell of smoke was in the room. At night, our room was very noisy which we couldn't sleep... Please don't waste you money and look for another hotel.

Our group stayed a long weekend at this hotel. At first we were shocked about the poor entrance of this hotel, the professional picture does not tell that there is a narrow strairway, where you try to get your bags inside to the reception. The ladies had double rooms (suites) with one blanket, after meny requests they didn´t get blankets... More

Staying in Sisli

Neighbourhood Profile
Sisli
For much of Istanbul’s history, Sisli and the area just north of Taksim Square were open countryside used mostly as hunting grounds. These days, Sisli and its chic streets are considered the very heart of contemporary Istanbuli life, where an epicenter of fashion and a thriving business district meet to create an expressly “downtown” feel. Though largely a residential neighborhood, luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and upscale shops abound with many of them situated inside or nearby Cevahir Istanbul, the biggest shopping mall in Europe and second biggest urban shopping mall in the world. Shopaholics and fashionistas travel from near and far to browse the area's mix of major global brand items and creations by popular Turkish designers.

“Do not, under any circumstances, stay in room 501. It is directly under the kitchen, directly next to the cleaning supply room, and has only one window which faces onto an extremely noisy alley. The -01 rooms, and possibly the -02 rooms, on other floors probably have the alley problem as well. Since the first call to prayer is played before sunrise, that would be less of a problem during the winter. But the alley noise was bad during the night anyway due to loud parties and at least one cat in heat.”
