I have been with my friends and we really enjoyed our stay. Initially we had two different rooms and after asking the manager if he could allocate us in just one, he had no problem at all. The place is just 5 min away from the Blue Mosque & Hagia Sophia, really centric. The staff was really friendly and helpful....

I was having a very short stopover in Istanbul et I've chosen the Antique house after a couple of hours on the net trying to find a place where I hope I will feel comfortable. My flight was delayed and I was a bit worried of not finding anyone to check me in. As soon as I called Efes, the...

One of the best hotel where I have been because of the great and helpful staff. Doesn't feel hotel, more like hostel, but it was the best thing. Room was okey, but you are not spending time in the room because everything is so close by (blue mosque, hagia sophia, grand bazaar). I recommend this hotel to everybody and I...

A very nice hostel and friendly staff. The breakfast is amazing and try sitting on the roof.. Nice view from there. The hostel is really close to blue mosque hence a definite recommendation! Do not miss the arasta market close by and have a seat for the dervish dances in the cafés around.

We slept in an annex around the corner. Nice little hotel, clean rooms. Friendly staff, very helpfull. This did not feel like a hotel, but more like a B&B. That is what we prefer. Very close to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia.

I absolutely loved this hotel. I'm usually not really interested in how a hotel's interior looks as long as it is clean and tidy, which this place really was. We lived on the bottom floor in a room that was a bit dark and sometimes damp when we showered, but it didn't really bother us. The hotel is located right...

Conveniently located in Sultanahmet, Antique House is in a quiet neighborhood just minutes away from major attractions like the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Our room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was great. Our hosts Mustafa et al were fantastic and really made our stay enjoyable. Highly recommended.

We got a warm and friendly welcome at this superbly located guest house, a stone's throw from Aya Sofia and the Blue Mosque. It's a small place on a quiet side street, great breakfast is included and on a nice day the rooftop terrace is lovely. Don't expect luxurious accommodation, but for the price it still represents very good value...

The location was excellent, everything is close. Host Mustafa was very helpful, but very small room. The hotel is very clean ! Only 5 minuts walking from the Blue Mosque and 10 min from the Grand Bazar!

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
