I knew I wanted to stay at this hotel the moment I saw the pictures but it was more expensive than I wanted to pay. I was able to get a much better deal by waiting until the week before our trip over Thanksgiving. We arranged for the airport pick up, which was efficient. The only thing is that most...

I stayed at Azade Suites in Nov-Dec 2012 for a weekend. The hotel is wonderful, beautifully decorated, clean, spacious, and in a perfect location. Particularly, the shower was amazing! The staff were very sweet and helpful. The complimentary tea and coffee making facilities were super nice, and the free wifi worked well. The only downside was the breakfast (served at...

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and were very happy with our stay. Upon arrival we were upgraded to the King Suite, with views of the Blue Mosque and the Marmara sea. The service was very good, the room is of modern design, as seen in the photos. The bed is very very comfortable, when we arrived we...

On a mother-daughter trip for 5 nights in Istanbul this past Thanksgiving holiday and we loved this all-suites boutique hotel in a great part of Sultanhamet. Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and train stop all within walking distance, yet it was on a quiet, safe street with cute restaurants within the area (recommend Ocean's 7 a block away and Cozy Garden...

We stayed 5 nights at the Azade Suites. It is a small hotel with all suites. The front desk is staffed 24 hours with a very friendly and helpful team. Location is on a quiet street, and ideal for site seeing, about 2 blocks from both Aya Sophia and the Blue Mosque and another block to the tram. Ours was...

The hotel is really small and at first glance it almost feels like entering into somebody's home. We were met by the incredibly nice receptionist called Berik, who tried his best to meet our needs and wishes. He followed us to our room on the top floor and showed us in. It was a nicely furnished room with beautiful combination...

This excellent location is two blocks from 3 top ten restaurants. Bekir and other staff members were very helpful. Our room on the third level had a great view of the Marmara Sea on one side and the Blue Mosque in the other direction. The bedroom was a separate room with a door. The outdoor deck was great. Breakfast at...

Rooms are very tasteful and large for old town. One can hear ALL noise from neighbors and hallway making a nice room virtually uninhabitable. What a shame really because this could've been a fabulous property. There are better options.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
