The friendly and helpful staff is definitely the best part of staying at this hostel. Especially Iman and Serdar were extremely friendly and helpful. They cooked delicious dinner and we had a great evening meal. The common area is like a nice café. Beds are extremely comfortable. Rooms have air-conditioning and light and spacious. Location is great, close to good...

The hostel is located walking distance to the city main attraction, in a quiet area. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful, giving us information on the area and even preparing the breakfast (for free) or surprising us with a birthday cake for my friends birthday. The rooms are clean and nice. The lockers are large enough. As a...

No doubt the hostel is very well positioned and the staff is very nice and helpful. But the dorms and the common room are in two separate building, not very handy in winter. And in general it has been very messy to get the keys and a bed. I have seen far better hostels.

We stayed 6 nights there, 1st 5 nights were in the 8 person dorm room, not the best, but basic and provided the necessities. Last night, our room was moved to the 6 person dorm room, which was about 10x better. Better equipped, bathroom on that floor was nicer. Worth the extra couple of US dollars to get the better...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
