I've spent 3 days in this structure. it's just ten minutes far from blue mosque and 15 from gran bazaar. In the nearby, max 5 minutes walking there are lots of restaurant and food shops. The rooms are nice and well organised. Our room was clean but the only problem we had was the dust on carpets and curtains, not...

Unfortunately we stayed only one night in this lovely place, but I will definetely return here. Everything was perfect, the staff from the reception whom we called almost 10 times for directions and he was always patient and nice, to the rooms which are exactly what you need whatever the occasion. They are clean, modern, quiet, just perfect!

We booked this hotel well in advance, and even emailed to confirm our reservation. Even so, upon our arrival we were received with the information that there had been some misunderstanding and they had been double-booked, but not to worry, he had a friend that had spare rooms at his hotel nearby. We were far from satisfied with that information,...

We booked the family room after reading the good reviews on trip advisor. My thoughts are a bit mixed as the family room was the basement and it was not great. I was able to look through the door of some of the other rooms and they looked fine, but our family room smelt damp, also there was a problem...

Terrible neighbourhood!!!! We had one of the windows open and at 5:30 am someone climbed in through our window on the second floor and stole my brothers wallet!!! The "24- hour" front desk attendant had checked himself into one of the rooms and was fast asleep. We woke up in the morning and couldn't find his wallet. We tried telling...

Hayriye is a newly renovated Guest House. very Classy interiors. I stayed in a 2 BHK Apartment which had a functional kitchen, fridge etc. Very comfortable beds. The only negative would be that they do not serve food and restaurants are at a distance. The hotel is situated in a residential area and you can find hotels much closer to...

This hotel has one positive thing: good location. It is in max 15 minutes walk from center of old town. Negativ list is pretty intimidating: - finding this place is like playing an adventure game, we have passed it at least two times. There is no sign on door or on building. - bed was full of hair, even pubic...

Perfect place to stay. Management is very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Excellent service, good location, 2 min walk to the beach, close to tram station, close to Blue Mosque and Grand Bazzar. The room was specious and clean, bad comfortable. The area is safe and hotel is located in a very friendly neighbourhood.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
