Here is not comfortable. No one knows English here. They have changed the place but hadn't told us. The elavator doesn't work sometimes. There's no tea and coffee in rooms but there is just one boiler. However I don't recommend this place.

Excellent service, including dealing with an allergy to seaseme seeds, not only did they prepare food without them, but where some items we selected had already been made with them,, such as bread, they subsituted other items, without being asked. Plenty of food, which is quite tasty. Interesting decor. Provided a high chair for our two year old.

Much has changed since I stayed here Nov 2014. It is under new management who it appears are quickly trying to change the face of this previously well functioning guesthouse. It had merged with the guesthouse next door known as Tulpan House. It bewilders me as to why they are not fixing anything that needs work - such as the...

The hotel is small, so are the rooms, though it offers at low cost all basic facilities with excellent service. The beds are comfortable, clean rooms and bathroom, very warm, internet access. It is located close to the noisy Istiklal street and Taksim square, however it is very quiet. The staff was very very helpful and kind.

We ended up visiting Istanbul during a cold spell, but the room was nice and warm. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very clean and nice. The internet was easy to access and was quite fast. The staff was extremely helpful, in every regard, they called us a taxi to go to the airport for when we left...

Excellent location, near Istyakil, Taksim square, but not noisy street. Room was nice and clean, good shower, no problems with hot water in shower as in other hotels, good tasty breakfast. Staff was helpful and friendly, thanks so much! Again will stay in this hotel next times.

Hotel is located right in the heart of Taksim, yet it's on a quieter and smaller street, not so much traffic. Taksim's main street Istiklal is literally just around the corner, and walk from the Havatas-airport bus stop to the hotel was about 10min. Rooms are "efficient" in size and walls quite thin, so take earplugs if you sleep light....

we had a pleasant stay here, (4 nights). It served its purpose as we only really wanted somewhere to sleep. As much as i`d like to say we would stay again, i can`t. The receptionist, mehmet, was very helpful but he didn`t really have much to work with. Unfortunately we had bad weather so things (electrical) didn`t work in our...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
