Me and my wife recently stayed four nights while on excursion trip to Istanbul. We enjoyed staying at this hotel specially being very close to the tourist ares. The breakfast was wholesome and nice. Staff were extremely helpfull, specially Volkan and the staff at the counter. I think it is the best deal for the price we paid. M.R.BAIG

We recently spent 4 nights here. I enjoyed my stay very much, not only because of the affordable and excellant accomodations, but also because of the friendliness and hospitality of the staff. Two of them - Servet and Hulya, were especially helpful and kind - helping us with recommendations, directions and the language. All staff should be commended for fine...

The hotel staff were always helpful and courteous. Breakfast was plentiful, with a good variety that changed slightly each day. The rooms were clean and towels changed daily. . Safe included with room. We ate in the hotel one night and the meal was excellent. And the Sultanamet is only 5 minutesby away. I have no real complaint at all...

Whilst staying in Artefes Hotel with my wife and a couple of friends, I became rather bemused by all the lavish praise for the hotel on Tripadvisor as our experience certainly wasn't living up to expectations. So I looked at the reviews a little more closely and realised that all the positive 5 star reviews are from people with only...

The Artefes Hotel is a lovely hotel with a very nice dining room. The breakfast was the most extravagent buffet I saw in Turkey - everything one could imagine, including scrambled and fried eggs, sausage, bacon, every imaginable kind of fruit, pancakes, etc. We stayed here as part of a tour, so I can't speak to value for money because...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
