Fehmi Bey is just around the corner from the hippodrome and the blue mosque with a roof top breakfast terrace that overlooks the sea of marama and the blue mosque. Rooms are well designed with modern bathrooms. The staff is just fine led by an over-fed golden Lab named homer simpson. Great breakfast with plenty of dining choices in the...

We had a wonderful time at Fehmi Bey. We asked for a corner room, which they obliged. Our room had wonderful views of the Bosporus. The continental breakfast was excellent. The restaurant had a great views of the Blue Mosque and the Bosporus. Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, and Aya Sofia were within a few blocks. It was wonderful to find...

Was here for New Years 2005. Got Reservations by internet, no problems. Someone came and picked us from the airport complimentary. Less that 2 mins from the Bluw Mosque and a grand view of Marmara Sea from the terrace. Reasonable rates and the rooms are cleand, staff fairly helpful.

The Fehmi Bey is in a perfect location - literally, a few blocks away from the Blue Mosque, the Hippodrome, and the waterfront (on the other side). The rooms range from small to large, but all have good, functional bathrooms (with excellent water pressure), extremely comfortable beds, and good bedside lighting. Breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace, which has...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
