All the superlatives in previous reviews are well-justified: it's a beautiful, little hotel in a great neighborhood with an amazing staff, all offered at reasonable prices. And, as others have mentioned, what made this a most memorable stay was the service -- everyone goes above-and-beyond to see that you're happy, comfortable, and satisfied.

We were two couples that enjoyed staying in this hotel for 4 nights. The location is excellent with walking distance to the major sites in Sultanahmet and old city. It is also located a fairly quiet neighbourhood considering the busy city. The hotel service was impeccable and always with a smile. Good value for money.

Previous reviews have already said it all about the hotel's location, comfortable rooms and amenities. What really sets this period boutique hotel apart is the friendly and and helpful staff. From the moment we arrived to be greeted with a glass of apple tea, till we left in our airport shuttle with them standing outside to wave us off, they...

The Dersaadet Hotel is a gem and we feel fortunate to have discovered it. The hotel is spotless and our room was tastefully decorated and comfortable. The bathroom is well stocked and the towels thick and luxuriant. The breakfast on the upstairs terrace was delicious--nutritious and graciously served. The location of the hotel is ideal. We cannot rate the staff...

Once I booked my room, I got an email confirmation from the hotel. They also shared some useful information. I had a question, so I asked and got an immediate response. Then a terrorist attack happened, so I asked again about the mood in the city and got an honest response right away. I did not cancel my plans and...

Upon arriving at Dersaadet Hotel, my husband and I were greeted by two friendly staff members who checked us in, took our bags to our room, served us tea, and gave us a brief, worthwhile orientation to Istanbul. The excellent service continued throughout our stay at the hotel. Breakfast is served on the rooftop terrace with views of the Sea...

From arrival to departure we were well looked after at Dersaadet. Super friendly staff keen to help in any way they could, e.g. we arrived very early but were able to have breakfast and access our room. The location is great for blue mosque area and there are some nice places to eat, have a drink and wander around shops....

After such a great trip two years ago, I didn't hesitate to rebook at Dersaadet. I decided against the will of friends to return to Istanbul on August 5th, 2016, and I could not have been happier. The staff was relentlessly kind, attending to my every request, and made me feel so comfortable and cozy after 2 weeks of nonstop...

We stayed with the Dersaadet Hotel at the end of a 20 day trip in Turkey in April-May this year and it was a wonderful end to our amazing trip. Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
