We have just returned from a New Years stay in Istanbul, with the Ibrahim Pasha being our hotel of choice. From the moment we booked, I was so impressed by their helpfulness. They provided endless information on the city, restaurants, airport transfers and also looked into some visa questions i had. On arrival, these impressions were not changed. The airport...

This hotel has a perfect location, directly around the corner of the impressive Aya Sofia and Blue Mosque. Also most old city key attractions like the grand bazar are at an easy walking stance. And to explore the rest of the city, a T1 tramway stop is very close by. The owner of the hotel and his staff are really...

A small well appointed hotel with lots of charm in the heart of Sultanahmet. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is unsurpassed, being next to the Hippodrome and the Blue Mosque. A nice touch is the architectural and arts books in the lobby - a great way to get acquainted with the wonders of Istanbul. I should...

We stayed at Pasha Ibrahim for 4 days after reading many other positive reviews of the hotel and I must say the hotel does live up to its high quality rating! From the first day of arrival Tuncay, Farhad and the team made us feel so welcome. We were greeted with polite manners and a welcoming smile, small acts that...

First of all it's a superb location, you walk down to Blue Mosque in half a minute. The personnel is very nice and helpful, the rooms are cozy and there is a stock of books on Turkey in them (and an impressive library in the lobby). Magnificient view from the roof terrace.

The Hotel Ibrahim Pasha could not be better placed for seeing some of the great sights of Istanbul. The style of the hotel is delightful. Beautifully designed bedrooms. Excellent generous shower and bathing facilities. The entrance area is lined with the most beautiful books on aspects of the art and history of Turkey and particularly Istanbul. Staff are friendly and...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
