Located on a quiet street, The hotel is few steps away from Gulhane stop (if taking metro, which by the way is highly recommended if want to save time and explore more of this beautifully breath taking city). It is literally steps away from Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Palace, and many more(all these are one stop up from Gulhane...

If there is more than 5 stars to rate this hotel, that's what we will give them. We were surprised to see not many reviews for Doubletree-Sirkeci after experiencing first-hand what a great hotel and most all fantastic staff they have. We travel a lot, and rely so much on reviews before deciding to book a particular hotel to stay,...

We stayed two nights as part of a short tour around Turkey and the capital cities of Central / Eastern Europe. The hotel was well maintained and a good example of the DoubleTree brand. As a Diamond member, we were given an upgrade to a suite, which was spacious. The room contained all expected amenities, including mimi-bar and kettle. The...

We visited this hotel as a group of 7 with my 3 children (ages <12) and 2 elderly parents. First impressions, a wonderfully maintained hotel with professional, warm, and courteous front desk staff, synonymous with the Hilton brand. Theres a basic gym in the basement; no swimming pool but a great Hamam with additional saunas, shock showers, and massage rooms....

Nice people at the reception, clean, but they forgot to fill up the minibar. Very nice top restaurant. It is very near to souvenir shops, Topkapi Palace and Blue Mosque. Close to tram station, good view to the Bosporus.

This hotel is brand new. The location is superb, just a couple of minutes walk from the Blue Mosque, Palace etc. No taxis or trams needed. You can walk to all sights. The food is of a poor standard for a Hilton Hotel. We were the only people in the restaurant, my husband wanted lamb chops, they only had one...

Hilton Doubletree Hotel was very enjoyable. Staff greeted us from the entry door to the desk. They were very friendly and helpful. The cookie (delicious) adds a homey feeling, which is a nice welcoming feature. Breakfast is excellent. Room was superb. Stay was great! Love the city sites as well!

The hotel is located in an area, where it is quite a walkable distance to several tourist attractions. However, the hotel reception is understaff. Therefore, making the check-in and check-out process unreasonably long.

I stayed at the hotel for one week. The location is quite convenient as many landmarks are within walking distance. The staff were very helpful and welcoming and the service received was excellent. Rooms were very clean. I would definitely stay here again.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
