Fantastic view from our 5th floor room, with lovely balcony to sit on right across from Hagia Sophia and, to the right, the Blue Mosque. Great breakfast from the restaurant above with even more extensive views.

Ok I'll keep this review to basics as frankly you are only likely to need this hotel as a base for exploring.

The location of this mid-price hotel couldn't be better -- a couple of hundred meters from Hagia Sophia. But we were dismayed to find the room uncomfortably dark, with only two low-wattage bedside lights providing illumination. The tapwater is clearly labeled as unsafe. Under such...More

With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to
retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

The buffet is included and they have a pretty good selection (cheeses, cold cuts, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, olives, Greek yogurt, fruit, Turkish pastries and pies). I remember only 2 types of cereal, maybe something like corn flakes and Cocoa Puffs. There is a small fridge in the room and no microwave. However, there are many restaurants around the hotel.Right across the hotel there is a small store with reasonable prices for water and drinks, we shopped there every day.
