having toured turkey for 2 weeks, this was our last and very most disappointing hotel: apparently staff has to ask for full payment on arrival (this is the very first time that we were asked to pay at check-in); room cupboard sized; bathroon door very very difficult to close; bathroom ok, half clean, small, according to booking description: "panoramic view"... If you are on a tight budget and want to stay in Taksim square, search no more!! This hotel is very close to Taksim square in a back, quiet street which comes in to handy for those who have to catch an airport limousine early in the morning or late at night. The room was kind of small but beautiful,... More

Our room was very tiny but it looked great, it was very nice and clean. The hotel is on a quiet street and the beds were so comfortable, we could sleep very well here :) Taksim Square and Istiklal Caddesi are very close to the hotel, going out for an evening walk on Istiklal and having a cheap and nice... Great value hotel, nothing fancy about this hotel but it was clean and comfortable and the staff were helpful and friendly. The location was great - close to Taksim square and Istiklal Caddesi for great nightlife with easy transport (metro/tram) for reaching virtually any part of Istanbul. Breakfast buffet was plentiful though the choice of foods was a little eclectic.

The location was very good and the room was clean. We were expecting a budget hotel but the room was more tiny than what we had expected for 50Euros. We had 3 suitcases and had a difficult time accomodating them in the tiny room. Breakfast was vey basic. We were looking for an adapter for our laptop plug (US 3... More

We stayed here on our long weekend away to the Turkish F1 GP, it's an ideal place to stay on an F1 weekend away as the buses to the circuit (Istanbul Park) leave only 2min walk away! In Taksim square. Taksim square is a vibrant part of Istanbul, with lots of bars/restaurants and good transport links. The rooms are small... More

My friends and I had a lovely stay here. It was a great base to shop from, close to Taksim square and easily accessible by taxi or public transport to all the major attractions. The staff were friendly and very helpful, even organising our trips for us. We look forward to returning in the future

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
