Galata Antik Hotel is a very charming boutique hotel in the historic district of Galata. Very close to many must-see places and great restaurants ( Sahrap is one of them). We were originally planning to stay 2 nights, but added an extra night later on. Breakfast was served on the terrace, everything was fresh and delicious. Staff was very attentive....

The rooms looked like just on the internet, which is quiet rear! The cleaning service was excellent, they changed our bed-clothes every day! The stuff ( receptionist, londiners, kitchen ladies during breakfast time) was well-trained, professional, really helpful and kind. The hotel is located just next to 2 metro stations ( Sishane and Tunel), just in the middle of the...

This is a really lovely boutique hotel close to restaurants and bars in the trendy Taksim area of Istanbul. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the terrace where you have breakfast has a lovely view of the city and Bosphorus and we loved our room - night high ceilings and decor. I highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed at Galata Antique Hotel for 1 night in August & another 4 nights at Luce Di Pera. Galata Antique is such a cute hotel. Great interiors, very modern vintage. The view from the terrace is mesmerizing. The hotel has many restaurants just a few steps away (Sushi Express, Taj Mahal, Miss Pizza, etc). The Shishane metro station is also...

Perfect location for those who want to go out and find good restaurants and bars. Close to public transportation. Good breakfast and very kind service. Families with strollers: watch out because to enter this hotel you have to go up or down a stair (people from the hotel helped us, but this is a point to be reviewed).

What really makes this hotel is the location, staff and service. It was also super convenient getting to all the major tourist attractions in Istanbul without having to walk through crowds. Metro was a few meters away and top restaurants all around you. In the morning the views from the breakfast room are fantastic and you are greeted by resident...

This hotel is located in a great area, at the end of Istiklal Street near the Galata Tower in Taksim, Beyoglu. Beware - lots of stairs to climb up and down to get to the hotel entrance. There is a lift inside to take you up to your floor. The room and bathroom were on the small side but was...

My friend and I realized that we missed the flight at 1 a.m. (the flight was delayed and we over slept), so we decided to go back to the hotel because we didn't know where else to go. Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.
