Hotel is nicely situated that you can walk to the monuments or even take the tram from Karakoy. If bookinh get the top of the range room deals as the others are tiny with limited windows or none whatsoever. Staff were kind and accomodating to help as best as they could. On the bright side, Peninsula Galata Boutique is very close to the Galata Bridge. From the harbour I could see the Galata Tower up the hill to my right and to my left, looking across the water, was the Süleymaniye Mosque. It’s a lovely view, but don’t expect to see anything like this from the hotel. I read reviews, which... More

Stayed twice in 501 Karaköy district hotels rooms are usually not big. Top floor of galata peninsula rooms are great for stay with big suitcases and for long trips. The rooms decoration is old style, old turkish style bed. There is sofa in the room. Toilet size is nice. Have balcony but not no view. If you interest is Karaköy,... More

I found this hotel quite homely, with very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is a few meters away from the Tram Line stop, yet it is on a quite side street. The ferry stations and the lower stop of the Tunnel funnicular is a nearby, making it easy to get to most of the attractions and sites, both old... More

The hotel has excellent location: the tram stop is couple of minutes away from the hotel, and you can easily get to the Taxim square and main shopping street with a tram and metro from the hotel, and it doesn't take too long. The service was excellent. The staff is very friendly and happy to give you city tips. The... More

Advice number one - decide do you want or not windows in your room. Half of rooms have windows - half does not! If you want to save money and suppose only to sleep at the hotel - well, you do not need windows :) We reserved standart room with city view and got room 503 with small hole in... More

Staying in Karakoy

Neighbourhood Profile
Karakoy
Sitting pretty with an age-old air about it, Karakoy is situated on the European side of the Bosphorus at the mouth of the Golden Horn. Perhaps the city’s most historically significant area, it’s currently one of the most happening parts of town as well. Here street vendors and alfresco fish restaurants line the banks of the Horn where the views of major attractions across the water rival Karakoy’s own key attractions, such as the iconic 14th century Galata Tower and the Museum of Modern Art. A major hub for local and international waterborne traffic, Istanbul’s commercial and maritime heritage remains as relevant and evident as ever in Karakoy. Commuter ferries mingle with luxury cruise liners at its busy port, ensuring a continuously cosmopolitan flow of people..
