Our room was great, with a nice view. This is a well-appointed boutique hotel, avoiding the noise and crowds of the mammoth hotels. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location is convenient. And the price was very reasonable. Next time I go to Istanbul, this would be my first choice.

Our triple room was quite lovely, with furniture that looked brand new and classy touches like a cushy bejeweled headboard behind our bed and a spacious bathroom. After staying in a noisier part of the Sultanahmet, moving to this hotel provided welcome relief from the tourist bustle; it is in a quiet neighborhood behind the Blue Mosque, and the walls... More

Stayed in this great location right in the heart if Sultanahmet city centre. We loved being close to all the mosques and main attractions were easily reached by walking and tram. The staff were so friendly and helpful we really felt at home and were sad to leave. They wasted no time and after check in they helped us plan an... More

I stayed nights in the Stone hotel and enjoyed it very much. Practically, it is minutes from the Hippodrome and the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia as well as many restaurants and cafes and carpet shops.... The hotel itself has an elevator, which is handy for people with physical challenges when it comes to stairs. The breakfast each morning is... More

Located in the heart of Sultanahmet. You can walk everywhere from the hotel. The breakfast was pretty bad. Hotel is very clean and the front desk employees are very helpful. The metro station is just 3 blocks away but in Istanbul I will recommend you to walk. It is a small hotel so don´t expect much. Location is the best!

I'm surprised that so many reviews complain about noise and that most of the "noise" is the call to prayer. I loved that we could hear that. After all, you're in Istanbul and if you don't like to be immersed in the culture of the region, maybe go to a chain hotel where you won't be able to tell where... More

Location is the only good thing about this hotel. They should offer much more for the price they charge. Staff friendly yet inefficient. We stayed 7 days and had coffee only in the first one even after asking to 2 staff members to replace it. They even did not checked with us to see if it was replaced. Cleanness it... More

We booked a familyroom for six nights. First night we got hotel's best room as the staff said. A suite located at the backyard of the hotel in a separate building. In our opinion the room which we got for the next five nights was much better than the suite. That room was on the second floor at the back... More

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
