We stayed at the Stone Hotel with our toddler for four days at the beginning of May 2008. After the initial meet and greet we were informed that they had (as usual!) overbooked and that we would have to stay at one of the other hotels for one night. Luckily they put us in the hotel next door (Ada Hotel)... More

Small boutique hotel in a very convenient location. Rooms are ok- nothing special, but clean and bright. Beautiful courtyard for breakfast if weather is OK, otherwise breakfast room is a little tacky, in a cave like room- interesting and you know that you are in Turkey. Very nice turkish breakfast. Staff were helpful. Beds were quite firm. Make sure you... More

my mother and i stayed at this hotel this past april 2008 and we both enjoyed the hotel. the location was perfect. It is within walking distance to the blue mosque, the haghia sophia, topkapi palace, and most of all, the grand bazaar. for those who enjoy shopping (and who doesn't), this would be the hotel for you. the staff... Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

“I was on the street front which I enjoyed but may to suit everyone, thought it wasn't overly noisy. The hotel sits across from a mosque and I did enjoy hearing the call lot prayer.”

“Many quiet rooms, depending on location, but average noise was not a problem at all. All have A/C, flat screen TV, fluffy towels, slippers. There is an elevator, but also a charming and romantic stone tower spiral staircase from the breakfast room at the rooftop to the main floor office.”
