A small and nice no nonsense hotel. Good friendly staff. Excellent location with tram station and taxi stand away by 2 minutes of walking. Tram can take to many places of tourist interest and boat piers. Other major tourist attractions are about 5 to 7 minutes of walking. Located in a charming and bustling locality. However in several occasions taxi...

You might expect a hotel on the main street to the historic sites to be bustling and noisy. It isn't - only the trundling trams are allowed along it so making it a virtual pedestrian zone. We booked late via Expedia who gave us a better price than the one the hotel could offer and took one of the small...

Hotel location is ideal for walking to main tourist sites, many restaurants, Grand Bazaar, etc. Tram line outside main entrance makes it easy to explore other areas (Spice market, Taksim shopping area, sight seeing). We arrived early (10:30 am) from a cruise, and reception was able to provide us a room. It was on the 4th floor (404) and was...

What a great hotel in a perfect location only 5 -10 minutes walk to all the tourist highlights in the old city of Istanbul. It is right on the tram line but it's not too noisy. The rooms/bathroom are very clean & well appointed with a small balcony. Breakfast is included & good & served in the little restaurant/ bar...

Excellent location, very nice staff, breakfast was fresh & tasty, great rates and everyone looking for view, book the balcony room. Flexible staff: I had to checkout a day before my flight due to over booking and Erkut & Hauan helped us and offered us hidden room for the extra night which I found it a great gesture. I will...

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Our room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. We were picked up at the airport and the front desk made the arrangements for our return ride. We could walk to all that we wanted to see. We would definitely stay here...

This hotel is perfectly located (near the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, etc.). There is a tramway line just in front of the hotel. The service is also very good and the room has always been kept very clean. Only drawback: it can be a bit noisy, especillay if you go there during Ramadan.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. While booking in we were sceptical of the grading, being used to 4+ star hotels. The hotel is old and perhaps in need of a good makeover, however that is the end of the 'downside' - our room was quite adequate and had everything we needed. My wife commented on...

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
Sultanahmet
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
