Amazing view of Blue Mosque and Bosphorus from my room and terrace. Central location 👏🏻👍🏻 I liked the rolled fresh pastry and cheeses in the breakfast. I enjoyed rooftop. If they reading this I want to say thank you for everything. See you next time 👋🏾

We stayed at this hotel for one week. The room is on the small side, but big enough to sleep. The service was impeccable both in the room and in the restaurant. Breakfast was huge variety and plentiful. (The person who made a comment on the breakfast could be reminded that he went to Turkey! Don't look for Australian food...

I really liked this little place. The location was great. The rooftop breakfast was plentiful and the view was great. The airline lost my luggage the evening I arrived and I was exhausted. The hotel doesn't have a kitchen so no dinner in house, but the staff went out and picked dinner up from a local place and it was...

The rooms aren't clean, the service odd and generally dismissive but the terrace has a great view and the hotel could not be more central. The breakfast was terrible, no milk, poor service and one day the cook didn't turn up. The manager is quietly efficient but if you only need a place to sleep and shower then this is...

I stayed at the Sultanahmet Hotel as a solo traveller on the first night and last night of my Turkey-Georgia trip. On the first night, the single bed room was in a weird position. There was a window, but it opened to a corridor, with view of another adjacent room, which was pretty awkward. So I kept it shut all...

It's right on a busy street, in an area with many restaurants and in the thick of many tourist attractions. A simple hotel with very basic amenities. However, the bathroom/shower combination leaves much to be desired unless you are game to it. No elevators - Breakfast is included in the rate and is on the roof with beautiful sights of...

If you want to walk to the Blue Mosque, Aya Sophia, the Cisterns, Topkapi palace, public transportation (trolley) that goes directly to Dolmabahce Palace (as well as the downtown area) and gaze at the Bosphorus during breakfast, this is the place for you. I can't recommend it highly enough for those that want to skip the tours and do things...

it is also known as the Blue mosque, because of the tiles used for decoration. it is right near the square, and five minutes walk from the Aya sofia.this is my favorite place to visit in Istanbul. it is definitely worth going and spending time there,as it is quiet and very peaceful. it is near hotels, shopping, places to eat and other sights.

This hotel is located just behind the Blue Mosque, so is convenient to all of the attractions in the Sultanahmet area. You enter through a small, charming courtyard which had tables and chairs under persimmon trees. The hotel has been kept up quite well. Our room was larger than most that we had in Turkey and was clean and comfortable....

We spent 3 nights as part of an Overseas Adventure Travel group at this hotel. The room was quite comfortable and close to the restaurant / breakfast patio with a nice view. The staff was helpful and recommended a good seafood restaurant nearby. It's on a quiet street behind the Blue Mosque. Easy walk to many tourist locations.

Staying in Sultanahmet

Neighbourhood Profile
With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.
