Second visit within the year and once again nothing but plaudits. Warm welcome, comfortable bed, rooftop views (a must in Istanbul) and a sense of being home. I would never stay anywhere else in Istanbul.

Noble House Galata (formerly Eklektik Guest House) was a great find. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. From the moment we checked in, everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The traditional Turkish breakfast served in the mornings was hardy and the absolute best that we've ever had at any B&B or Guesthouse. The bed in the Sultan's Room...

This b&b was a terrific find! Nice, clean, comfortable rooms with a very attentive, helpful staff. It's in a great location with lots of good restaurants, shopping and things to see - all within walking distance, and easy access to any/all of the major tourist spots via convenient transportation. We will look forward to staying here again on future trips...

If you are looking for a cozy guest house, with a family like atmosphere (also gay friendly), great location and a delicious breakfast, Noble House Galata (former Eklektik Guest house) is a real find. The funky, compact, individually themed, lovingly decorated rooms have everything that you need. The staff were really helpful with advice on the city, including the attractions...

I have stayed in Eklektik several times in the past four years - and have recommended it to friends who have travelled to Istanbul. Have never been disappointed, and always impressed. The rooms in the old building are thoughtfully designed - although admittedly not spacious they are a all calming. The owners and staff are all service-minded and treat guests...

I found the Eklektik quite by chance. I needed a room the following week for one night on my way back through Istanbul. The proprietor could not have been more helpful and friendly and welcoming. My room was lovely, very comfortable bed, lots of clean fresh towels and a great breakfast that set me up for a days travelling. The...

We very much enjoyed staying over New Year at the Eklektik Guest House! The host team was extremely friendly and very responsive to our needs: We booked at very short notice, arrived early in the morning and needed a day room before going back. Breakfast was very delicious, as authentic, I guess, as it can be, served in a charming...

This hotel is the best that you will find in Istanbul at this category. Not only for its comfortable and charming facilities, but also for the treatment they offer. You are greeted by the hotel owner, a wonderful warm Turkish, always ready to give tips and resolve any trouble. The breakfast is hearty and delicious. The rooms ate comfortable and...

Staying in Beyoglu

Neighbourhood Profile
Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.

“Refuse the Red Room!!! Surprisingly, it's an "upgraded" suite, but you will regret it. The redeeming quality of the Red room, if they resolve the issue mentioned in my review, is that it's the top floor. There are several other "suites" (Zen and Black rooms), but you'll have people above you and the floors are old and creaky.”
