With so many unmissable attractions within a mere stroll of each other – and all set around the site of an ancient Byzantine hippodrome – Sultanahmet is an overwhelmingly popular tourist destination, and a prime location for visitors to be wowed on a truly epic scale. Beyond the wonders of the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, and more, this relatively small area of Istanbul somehow manages to
retain an air of peace and calm. It offers visitors a significantly less celebrated but nonetheless pleasant network of quaint lanes and side streets, majestic panoramas of the Bosphorus, and an impressive assortment of accommodation options for all budgets and tastes.

Sorry I can not be of much help, given that I stayed at MIRAN hotel with my wife( and I shall stay again on my next visit). What you can do in INTERNET find at the map a hotel close to MIRAN at a reasonable price. The area is quite safe, we never felt any kind of risk. Turks in Instabul are very friendly and really good professionals. You just do a little research and try your friend to find a nice hotel in the same area as you, because the spot is superb. You are close ,within walking distance, to almost the most important points of interest. Instanbul is a great place in every aspect. Monuments, history, food, hamam baths, Bosporus strait etc. etc. Good luck and I am sure you will enjoy your visit.
