My husband and I stayed at Urkmez Hotel for 1 night earlier this month. We chose it due to location, price, and overall reviews here on TripAdvisor. I made my reservation by contacting the hotel directly via email. They were prompt and helpful when responding. We had a double room with a balcony. The room was small, but there was...

Excellent position just a few steps from the train station and just a few minutes to the Ephesus museum. We arrived early (about noon). Our room was not ready which is fine when you arrive at noon however we were promised it would be ready within minutes and we were given some apple tea whilst we waited in reception chatting...

Selcuk is the place to stay to visit Ephesus. The Urkmez Hotel is close to the bus station and the train, and there are a dozen or more restaurants within two blocks. No lift but the staff will take your bags upstairs. Breakfast is on the top floor with a great view of the aquaduct and the castle. Ephesus is...

worst shower ever. water comes down as a trickle. poor temperature regulation, so water can go from too cold to too hot with 1mm adjustment of the tap. the hotel itself is pretty basic. our room did not look anywhere as pretty as some of the pictures here, so there looks to be quite a difference in quality from room...

My wife and I stayed at the Urkmez hotel for three nights in October 2011. The "hotels" in Selcuk are much more basic, hostel-like accomodations than a "hotel" you might expect from Izmir or Istanbul, so if you're expecting room service or a Hilton, then don't expect to find it in Selcuk. Given that, however, our experience at the Urkmez...

We stayed at this hotel for two nights in September. We arrived in Selcuk by train so this hotel was convenient when coming from the train station. This is a very basic hotel but very clean. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and speak english very well. If you are looking for a hotel that is stylish with amenities...

On the good side, we liked staying in Selcuk and this "hotel" is in a good location in the town. On the down side, it is VERY run down (but mostly clean). I would also call it a youth hostel...I should have known this as it is walking distance from the bus/train station. Compared to other places we stayed in...

I personally and my staff tried to help to find the lost camera. The guests were not sure whether they forgot or lost their camera or where they lost it. It was never found in our hotel and I can personally vouch for my staff. I feel that this experience has unfairly affected this guests review.

My wife and I stay at Urkmez for a night as we were making a trip to Ephesus. We flew into Izmir from Istanbul and then took an Atlas Airline shuttle bus to Selcuk. For those that may not know, Atlas Airline offers free shuttle bus service for their passengers. The drop off and pick up area is at their...

Fluent English and great staff. The people are incredible. The rooms are simple and clean. The center units aren't that great (203/303) as you get lights on/off all night but the other units are great. For the price you cannot beat it. Steep stairs so not for the handicapped or agility impaired. The location is central to Selcuk. You are...

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst seeing Ephesus. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful- assisting us to book our tour and onward travel/accomodation. The hotel is clean and comfortable and ideally located next to restaurants and bars. We would definitely stay here again- we came as tourists but were made to feel more like friends.
