This place needs to be destroyed and rebuilt. It is disgusting. The Youth hostels I stayed in when I was 20 were nicer. Dirty, run down, full of bugs… I could go on all day but what’s the point? You will see the pictures- they should speak for themselves
First of all the good news. The room was fairly large as was the shower and the bathroom. The decor was tired with a peeling door frame, cracks in the parquet floor and the furniture was IKEA style. The balcony was dirty as was the furniture on it. There was a disgusting smell from the shower draining the water drained slowly indicating a block but no response when we complain about this. The controls of the A/C did not allow a choice of a precise temperature. The food was very plentiful and there was a wide choice. Although rather a plain style of cooking, on the whole the food was tasty. There are large grounds and ample parking. As the hotel caters to the religious sector the swimming pool and the beach are segregated and subject to time restrictions. The pool was shut on Shabbat. One of the beaches was open. The hotel was very very busy and there were not enough places to sit and relax particularly on a very hot Shabbat when it was unpleasant to be outside. My daughter was lodged in a room where the door to the balcony did not shut properly and as a result there were cockroaches. The hotel's response was to give her a spray to kill them but no repair of the faulty door. In summary you will not get anywhere near the level of comfort, decor, sophistication of food that one would receive at a hotel in the UK or in Europe at the same price.…
I've been coming to this hotel for almost 20 years straight. This hotel is perfect for us. The grounds are gorgeous and well kept. You can take midnight walks with the Sea of Gallilee and the nature trails. The private beaches are tended to with care. The rooms are always comfortable and nice. The food and dining room are exceptional in almost every way. When things were slow, I even asked for a special meal and it wasn't a problem. It's like visiting family that you haven't seen in a long time, and the feeling is happy. Come and see for yourself.
DEFINITLY GO THERE. It was way beyond my expectations! I thought that because it's a dati/chareidi place, the service and atmosphere wouldn't be that great. but actually the service was exceptionally gracious and courteous. the front desk really helped us out a lot. the dinner and breakfast buffets are simply astounding, with all staff dressed in uniform. In short, if you're worried that it will be "Heimish", it's not ,but rather it has a super professional and relaxing ambiance.
The Kinar is situated in a lovely location on the Sea of Galilee. They serve enormous Kosher buffets, with everything you can think of to sample (except pork of course!) We have enjoyed our stay here, although the heating/cooling is slightly irregular, since it is still only spring! However, we have been able to regulate the room temperature at night by leaving the balcony door open.
I was at this hotel for 3 nights in mid-February. the place is surreal walking along its grounds it felt like somewhere in a tropical forest with many exotic birds, the area is so quite it’s a great place to relax, the breakfast they serve is superb many different dishes and an abundant, it’s not my first time at this hotel and it won’t be my last looking forward for another stay. Also, the staff is very accommodating.
newly renovated rooms, clean and tidy, great very tasty food, Shul and Minyunim, Mikvah on premises, private separated beech, fitness center, good location, and what not. very kind and pleasant service
Excellent staff and service, great accommodations delicious gourmet food and an abundance of it, went with family and we were very very satisfied extremely pleased and would highly recommend to others
We stayed for two nights here because we were in a pilgrimage tour . They are actually under renovation . Toom are kinda dusty that time that I had itchy night on our first stay . They have good food and array of selections . They are really generous on their buffet. They don’t have bathrobes, slippers and toothbrushes so better bring your own.
We were allocated on the bungalow style of the hotel which is quite outdated. The pros is that the room is spacious. It is near the sea of Galilee. The hotel are under construction of adding new hotel rooms. The restaurant is big with standard Israeli food.
