Stayed in one of the heritage buildings, which was like stepping back in time (in a good way!). Probably the most beautiful hotel I have ever been in, and the staff is top notch. Ahmad at the Khan restaurant was especially a star.

We stayed 5 nights at this hotel. The staff is incredible. From the moment we arrived until we departed we were well looked after. The beds were extremely comfortable and the separate shower was good. Hot water was nearly instant. We were welcomed with wonderful chocolates. The breakfast is incredible. So worth your time and money. They have wonderful coffee including lattes and cappuccino as well as sparkling wine. In the evening we dined at both the meat and dairy restaurants. The lamb chops are exquisite. The crispy appetizer is very good. The steak was also phenomenal. In the dairy restaurant we enjoyed very much the cheese ravioli. A special shout-out to Shira at the rooftop restaurant for her impeccable service. Also to Dara and Sagiv in the lobby restaurant and bar. The spa was very nice and seemed reasonably priced. The pools were incredible and beautiful. There is a lifeguard on duty. Our room was cleaned very well and they have a nightly turn down service. It’s a well regarded hotel here and I can see why. I have mobility issues and this hotel is very accessible.

The hotel lobby is warm and welcoming but the room was smaller than I expected. I paid close to $500 per night so I had expected a better room. Housekeeping was lukewarm and after several exchanges trying to explain our issues, Mr Hany came personally to the room to sort out the issues. Essentially we had a moving sink, slow responses and as I said housekeeping was not the best. I had to call a few times for replenishment of basic stuffs eg no water, no toilet roll and not enough towels. Mr Hany was brilliant and here’s a shout out to him for his very proactive approach. It was only on the last day that we finally managed to get replenishments at one go with another pro active staff who brought water, toilet rolls and extra towels. Though not requested I truly appreciated his initiative. It is unfortunate I did not get the young man’s name. I also must mention the breakfast spread and dinner buffet I had at the dining room. The service was excellent and the food was amazing and I commend the hotel for its spread. I also thank the excellent staff at the dining room. Great smiles and good service.

Very good and modern property in Jerusalem. It’s more a business / corporate kind of hotel although it was full of families there. The amenities such as indoor pool and gym are great. Breakfast was also very completeZ . If you’re looking for a good solid hotel this is a good option - it just lack charm.

We arrived I noticed and received a cold reception from Noam which was disappointing She listed many negatives about what we may not do and how we get penalised including the parking downstairs which was shekels for every time you take the car out 60 shekels a day but extra 60 for each time you remove the car and return It’s a beautiful hotel Spa is excellent. Location very pleasant with many adequate restaurants and buses available The rooms were more than comfortable and well appointed bathrooms I wouldn’t be in a hurry to return to this hotel because of the poor service Lynette Shapiro Rasnana

The Orient is a perfectly fine five star hotel. The rooms are large and comfortable and the bathroom is spacious with a lovely walk in shower and a bath. The staff are helpful and charming and special shout out must go to Omri who was amazing. We ate one day in the milk restaurant downstairs and had a delicious cheese board and salad washed down with a great bottle of wine BUT the hotel misses the opportunity to make a good stay into an outstanding one by the lack of attention to small details. The bathroom had no face wash cloths or those little packages with Qtips and cotton wool pads inside. A dirty glass was left in our bedroom for two days , pyjama’s were left in a crumpled pile on the side table ,the waste bin wasn’t emptied and there was no bed turning down service The breakfast was adequate but nothing special and the waiting staff were poorly trained. We sat with our dirty plates on the table and were asked if we’d like an omelette at the end of our meal !! We ate another night in the restaurant upstairs with its fabulous view over the old city. We weren’t very hungry so we shared a couple of starters. My husband had crackers and dips. Beautiful and unusual crackers served with four different dips. All the dips were industrially produced and , other than the colour, it was impossible to know which was which. I had chicken wings which neither looked or tasted like any chicken that Ive ever had and all covered with an unappealing sauce. As I said, the hotel has nothing that would have me complaining about but also nothing to make it outstanding or make me feel like I want to revisit

Our room on the 9th floor was wonderful, just a bit too close to the elevator so we heard a lot of noise. Id request something farther next time, but the view was incredible. Room was spotlessly clean, bed was very comfortable. The towels are very large which is a very nice touch! Staff was very helpful. Even during a busy time at breakfast there were plenty of waiters circulating and we received omelets and coffee very quickly.
