I enjoyed my stay at this hostel. I spent two nights there in a single room. The room would need a make over, but it was still ok. The common area with kitchen etc. is very nice to spend an evening. From the Hostel it is a 15 to 20 Minutes walk to the Old City. The Hostel offers a...

Great dorm rooms, clean, close to the city centre (15 mins), free breakfast and tour, kind people, I would recommend it to all of the people who like traveling alone or with someone else. Also the city is breath-taking.

We stayed at Abraham hostel Jerusalem for couple of days during our recent visit and its a very nice place to stay in Jerusalem. Best thing about the place is the location. It's at walking distance from the old city as well as Mahane yehuda market. Both places should be in the must do list of anyone in Jerusalem. We...

First trip to Israel with a friend that has stayed at this brand here and in Tel Aviv. My first experience in a hostel was outstanding. Walking distance from train, the Jerusalem market and of course the old city. Staff friendly and helpful. Also stayed at the Tel Aviv location with similar great results!!You can arrange side trips, cook your...

Spend three nights in the hostel. Booked due to recommendation in Lonely Planet and really we weren't disappointed. We had an economy room and that was basically all you need for accommodation, although it was terribly cold as the heater was not too good. The room was well maintained and clean. Staff was friendly and did their best to help,...

Our family of 4 stayed here from a Wednesday night until the following Monday morning, and other family members stayed as well. Our group ranged from a 5 year old to the 87 year old grandma. While I would not recommend this place for someone in their 80's, the rest of us had a blast. It is clean, the location...

This was my first hostel experience. I met people from all around the world. Great location, great people, great breakfast, great lounge area. This location is older then the Tel Aviv location, but that is because it is in a two thousand year old city! what more can you ask for?

I checked in on Sunday afternoon and was kindly greeted by Reut who gave great service and made sure I not only knew about the hostel but also food areas and local bars in the area. The hostel also had something going on from the visitors. The same night I arrived there was a karaoke night and with the smaller...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Abraham is known as the father of monotheism and was the first backpacker in the Middle East. He journeyed throughout the lands accepting hospitality from those whose homes he came to, and extending hospitality to anyone who passed near his tent. We wish to extend Abraham's Biblical hospitality to our time. We, the staff & owners of Abraham Hostels, created our dream hostel in Jerusalem to support travelers in the Middle East. The Abraham Hostel is located in Jerusalem's city center catering for independent travelers and small groups. Our location allows for easy walking access to all major sites such as the Old City or Mahane Yehuda Market. There are plenty of public transportation options right outside to various Jerusalem sites, as well as to the international airport and other cities in Israel and the West Bank. The hostel offers daily activities and tours in our ongoing effort to encourage travelers to make new friends and new experiences. Whether it's our hostel bar, traveler's information center or chill-out rooftop, we try to provide everything an independent traveler needs when travelling in the area. For those traveling outside Jerusalem there is a special discount when staying in Abraham Hostel Tel Aviv and the Fauzi Azar Inn in Nazreth, as well as special shuttle service between all three branches. ... more   less
