This is a great hostel on a great location! It's directly across (more or less) from the amazing Mahane Yehuda market, and a short (30 minute I guess) walk from the old city. It has a massive common room where youre sure to meet some nice people to have a beer with and they arrange fun activities. The rooms are...

The abraham hostel is very nice and you can meet people from all over the world. It is very central and the people working there are so helpful and kind. There is only one thing i didnt like: breakfast was everyday the same. There was no big variety. (müsli, cucumbers, tomatoes, white bread, white joghurt, hard boiled eggs, curd cheese,...

Abraham Hostel is a travelers delight. Get your day started with a healthy breakfast and good cup of coffee made just the way you like it. Let the friendly staff help organize your day. Great location if you don't want to live in Old City. Condition of room was satisfactory, needs some repairs but convenient for this kind of accommodation. Great kitchen to prepare your own food. Basic but nice breakfast. At the evening you will enjoy roof terrace. Helpful staff.

Perfect place to stay in Jerusalem! Very easy to get to and the staff couldn't be better or more helpful. I think the price on some of the tours is a little high but it didn't stop us from taking advantage of them! I would definitely recommend this to other travelers

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Abraham is known as the father of monotheism and was the first backpacker in the Middle East. He journeyed throughout the lands accepting hospitality from those whose homes he came to, and extending hospitality to anyone who passed near his tent. We wish to extend Abraham's Biblical hospitality to our time. We, the staff & owners of Abraham Hostels, created our dream hostel in Jerusalem to support travelers in the Middle East. The Abraham Hostel is located in Jerusalem's city center catering for independent travelers and small groups. Our location allows for easy walking access to all major sites such as the Old City or Mahane Yehuda Market. There are plenty of public transportation options right outside to various Jerusalem sites, as well as to the international airport and other cities in Israel and the West Bank. The hostel offers daily activities and tours in our ongoing effort to encourage travelers to make new friends and new experiences. Whether it's our hostel bar, traveler's information center or chill-out rooftop, we try to provide everything an independent traveler needs when travelling in the area. For those traveling outside Jerusalem there is a special discount when staying in Abraham Hostel Tel Aviv and the Fauzi Azar Inn in Nazreth, as well as special shuttle service between all three branches. ... more   less
