Right in the center of the ancient city of Jerusalem, the new BROWN JLM by Brown Hotels blends contemporary urban hospitality with traditional Jerusalem-style elements. The hotel enjoys a remarkable location overlooking Independence Park and the new Museum of Tolerance, right between the popular Nahalat Shiva pedestrian mall on one side and the Mammilla Mall and the Old City walls on the other. Like all Brown hotels in Israel and around the world, Brown JLM provides an up-scale, up-to-date experience, topped by a beautiful infinity pool on the roof overlooking a breathtaking Jerusalem landscape. Brown JLM is housed in a historic 19th-century building that has been carefully preserved and added 6 new floors, providing 46 spacious hotel rooms designed by the Israeli architect Prof. Yossi Friedman. An ancient structure in front of the hotel as well as beautifully preserved painted ceilings in the hotel lobby add to the authentic feel and blend into a modern and stylish design, rich in details and vintage collectors’ items. The hotel offers a plush spa suite with a private hot-tub; an elegant café-bar on the ground floor; an equipped conference room and the highlight - an impressive rooftop terrace overlooking spectacular views with a beautiful infinity pool. The rooftop also offers an outdoor hot-tub and sunbathing area, alongside a rooftop bar where the hotel's breakfast is served. Brown JLM is a pet-friendly hotel, allowing in pets up to 9 KG.

Brown JLM Mamilla is a fabulous boutique hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is renovated and extremely clean. The bathroom is clean and well appointed and no mold. The location is perfect. A 10 minute walk to the Western Wall, around the corner from Ben Yehuda St and lots to eat in the area. Very close to the light rail. If you are coming in by train from the airport it’s super easy to get to by taking the light rail outside the Central Station and getting off at the City Hall Stop. It’s also very close to the Mamilla Mall. We highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

We checked in to this hotel hoping it was everything their write and pictures indicated. We were not disappointed. Completely renovated rooms, in room safe and a very nice bathroom with shower stall. It is in a perfect location to walk to the Western Wall in 10 minutes. Right around the corner is Ben Yehuda St where a lot of activity happens. You can take the train from Ben Gurion Airport to Central Station Jerusalem for 18 nis and hop on the tram for 4 nis on Jaffa at and get of at the stop called City Hall There is a roof top pool to relax around. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it and would stay again.

Excellent location,in the city center,10 min walk to the Old city. Nice friendly attention, clean comfortable rooms. Very good breakfast. No need for staying in "higher star hotel",this one has it all. Would be happy to stay there again.

Perfect location & friendly helpful reception staff. Breakfasts were great & service good. The rooms are small but adequate, ask for a room on a quiet side, we had a lot of street noise at night ( we were on the 1st floor) all in all a good hotel & we would book there again. We found a wonderful seafood restaurant close by thanks to a recommendation from the hotel staff

Location of the hotel is great, walking distance to Jaffa gates. Housekeeping is the weakest point. Room was dusty, specially headboard and lamps, towels and robes were overused. Breakfast was ok, and servers were very helpful

Brown JLM was a comfortable boutique hotel with a friendly staff. We were welcomed warmly and the check-in went pretty smoothly. They did struggle to to find our reservation in a larger booking but it only took a minute or so to resolve. The room itself was comfortably appointed with a comfortable king-size bed and duvet. It felt that the room was a little tight given the size of the bed and the location of a small desk at its foot. It would make sense to get rid of the desk and put in its place a narrow piece of furniture. There were plenty of open shelves to store clothes, and the bathroom was spacious and comfortable with a generous shower stall with an overhead rain shower and a spray attachment. We found the room quiet and restful. The breakfasts had a large variety of items, which meant that we could indulge in different ways the four days we were there. The serving staff were attentive and friendly. We had two people join us for breakfast and the charges for the additional meals were quite reasonable. The location was excellent if one wishes to be near the Mamilla and/or the Jaffe gate entrance to the Old City. Our only disappointment was that it didn't have even a small exercise studio, though as one of us commented, we wouldn't have had time to take advantage of it given our itinerary. We have stayed in a number of hotels in Jerusalem and we almost certainly would go back to the Brown JLM when next we are in the city.

This hotel is in a perfect location, convenient to many of Jerusalem’s historic sites. The staff is most helpful with questions and any issues that arise about my stay. Their breakfast is wonderful and has a wonderful fresh variety of delicious foods. They are most accompanying to an unusual need that I had when I was leaving early for a tour, was before the restaurant opened, so made myself a box the day before and put it into the refrigerator, so I could just grab it from the lunchroom the next morning. Loved the daily chocolate box as well, for that extra nice touch.

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Everyone. Chocolate and a bottle of good wine on arrival. Loved the breakfast room staff, they were wonderful, especially Lisa. A variety of good, fresh regional breakfast food. Great coffee, however you like it. A very clean, comfortable contemporary hotel housed in a old period appearing building. A short walk to the old city and a upscale shopping mall. A short ride to more ancient history/ religious sites than you could ever see. Very reasonable rates for the city. Bottom line: we were very happy with our choice.
