The hotel location was not great for walking and local taxi fares were quite expensive. The rooms and facilities were very average. The buffet breakfast and dinner were not very appetising. There was a nice view from the pool area on 5th floor.
The saving grace for this hotel was their staff who are well trained and very obliging.

My room was large, clean and comfortable. Service was fantastic. I thought I lost a suitcase and they bent over backwards to help me find it. We did find it.

The restaurant had very good food despite having tour groups pass through.

The St. George is right near some of the top city hotels and close to the Old City.

Basic amenities, comfortable, clean except for bedsheets, pillows need to replace. While service is good, restaurant needs more varieties. Location ideal for walk to various attractions including spiritual immersion in the holy places.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room was clean.
The upstairs restaurant had live local music (which was good) and the food was delicious.
The location is good as it is central and you can walk to a number of significant sites.

Bed Bugs everywhere
Checked in late, and went to bed half asleep without noticing what I am getting into. The next morning I woke up to see bed bugs everywhere, and dry blood stains on sheet and pillows as in pictures, indicating sheets were not changed that day for me as a new guest. It was simply disgusting and ugly and health threatening. Consulted an expert on the subject and he strongly advised that I should throw away all my clothes, bag, suitcase,, everything I had in that room otherwise bugs eggs could spread in my house after I return, which would be hard to get rid off.. and I did exactly that. Threw everything,,, clothes of brand names. I have been stressed from the experience and had so much nightmares. Asked the hotel to compensate me for my belongings and pain. But no one is responding. GM read my messages but says little. It was my worst hotel experience ever. Even considering going to court.

Ok room, great breakfast, no formal dining area open lounge with limited menu which for the size of the hotel is surprising. My big complaint was the cleanliness of the stairwell by the gift shop. Absolutely disgusting. Hasn’t been cleaned in weeks. Used rags paper towels spewed every where. Second day someone spilled Jogurt on the steps. I found a man near the bar told him it was dangerous. He looked at it and me indifferently. Two days it was still there. Showers bathtubs are dangerous and slippery. I won’t come back for the price.

Pretty nice hotel! Very professional staff especially Anan and Abed who were very helpful and friendly. Moreover, thanks to them we also learned a lot about the old city. It was an unforgettable experience :) The restaurant was also very good, there were all kinds of tasty and fresh dishes. My room was cleaned every day. Thank you St. George Hotel, hope to see you soon!

We had a pleasant stay at St George's Hotel, the staff were helpful. The rooms were big and clean. A lot of options for breakfast, lunch was also very good, though somewhat limited. Location- not the closest to the Aqsa compound, nonetheless roads leading to it was pretty straightforward. Would certainly recommend.

Above and beyond customer service and help. Nothing was too much trouble. Special mention to the reception staff especially Jiries. Dining room staff were professional and courteous. Found hotel to be clean and well cared for. Would go again.

is there a tour desk to book a full day trip to the beach of Dead sea? can we a rent a car for a day
Answer from JerseyWhirl
Washington DC, District of Columbia48 contributions57 helpful votes
I believe they have a concierge desk to assist for day trips. I would email them and ask. That said, there are many day trips bookable online on Viator that go there. A word about the Dead Sea. It can be very hot; and wading into the mud to try to float sitting up is NOT easy. It requires water sandals/shoes for rocks underwater, and be prepared for scrapes and scratches getting in and out of the water. It was much harder for me than I expected after seeing all the photos of people doing it. The mud to apply to your body was nice, though -- softest mud I've ever experienced.

We highly recommend booking the executive room and requesting and extra roll away bed as we only have one double bed and we can add an extra bed.
