Came here as part of a McCabe pilgrimage group and found the Golden Walls a friendly place to lay our heads. Our room was small and rather tired but other members of the party had more spacious and up to date accommodation. We had one small insect (roach type) visitor which wasn't great but generally the room was clean enough.... More

We stayed for 3 nights at this 3s hotel and were lucky enough to get a room on the top level at the front of the hotel with a door opening out onto the roof terrace and a great view of the walls of the old city. Could get a little noisy at night but wasn’t too bad. Room was... More

If you appreciate seeing the walls of Jerusalem across the street from your large window and having the Damascus and Herod's Gates into the Old City a block away then this is the right spot. Also a block away was the bus terminal, taxi termnial and light rail station. I found the staff to be exceptionally helpful and hospitable both... More

It's a good hotel, right opposite the city walls. You can sit out on the large flat roofed area that has an extraordinary views of the walls. But I felt oppressed by the large groups of Christian pilgrims that dominate the hotel.

If you want to be near the action then this is the place for you. Cross over the road, go through the Damascus Gate and you are in the vibrant Old City. This hotel was known as The Pilgrims' Palace when I first stayed there over twenty years ago. Once again, I was there with a large group (70) of... More

This hotel is located steps away from the Damascus gate and old Jerusalem. The staff was amazingly pleasant, professional and incredibly helpful. While the hotel could probably use an interior update, I found the rooms nice, beds comfortable and free wi-fi was offered. I am also a professional chef and found the food to be flavorful, well-presented and, after traveling... More

We stayed at The Golden Walls as a party of 25. We were well catered for and the staff very kindly spoke English with us. They were all smart, friendly and professional. The food was excellent, varied, colourful, tasty and fresh. Our room was 'just right', spacious, comfortable and clean. An unpredictable problem of a flickering lightbulb in our bathroom... More

Stayed 1 night as a part of a group. That was more than enough. The rooms are small and the beds are very small. You can't push them together as a table is fixed between them. Bathroom is equally cramped. The dining room is too small for the number of guests. The net effect is a cramped, noisy, claustrophobic experience.... More

We stayed here for 6 nights from 23rd October as part of a McCabe Pilgrimage. The hotel was nice enough as we were out most of the days anyway, but on arriving we had no towels in our room. We went to reception 3 times to ask for towels but none materialised. It is pretty poor when you can't shower... More

We stayed at the Golden Walls Hotel for six nights as part of a McCabe pilgrimage. There were definite pros and cons. On the plus side has to be the location as it is directly opposite the old walls with easy access to the city. The food was good and plentiful and the staff were generally friendly and accommodating.
