Again a big hotel but with genuine care for the guests. The rooms are well equipped and have everything you could need. The food - like the rest of Israel - is out of this world with all choices to satisfy any discerning guest!
The hotel is old and in need of maintenance and renovation The meals are delicious and there is a wide variety of options The hotel is located far from the city center The room we were given is small but finds the resort A very fun overall impression
We spent 4 nights including the beginning of Passover with our family in multiple rooms. It was wonderful. Staff is nice and helpful, our room was great, some of our children/grandchildren rooms could use a makeover. Great breakfast. Lovely swimming pool. But the best part is the incredible view. One evening, all of us sat on the outside deck with a beautiful view and had age appropriate drinks, Incredible!! Although the location is a bit away from central Jerusalem - it is a great hotel!!
We were there with our children and grand-children for two nights, and enjyed very much. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The service, the food, the rooms - were excellent. All the members of our family were happy. We will come again. Thanks.
This is a large, modern hotel in the heart of Jerusalem. Our room was large, clean, and had a nice balcony with views of the city. All the essentials were provided ... hair dryer, shampoo, etc and plenty of towels & wash cloths. There were several English speaking channels on the TV, including news. Internet service was very good. The lobby area is multi-level, very modern, and there are lots of places to sit and hang out. The staff was very helpful and housekeeping did a great job every day. The restaurant is enormous and provides daily buffets for each meal ... the selections were very, very good, including manned stations for grilled chicken, omolettes, etc. There were multiple large groups staying here and the hotel handled them very well. Definitely recommend this hotel.…
The hotel facilities are very well kept, very good atmosphere, we were there for shabbat and everything was great, the food in all the 3 meals- Shabat dinner, breakfast, and lunch - was really good, a variety of salads and main courses, including vegeterians dishes. The service from the hotel staff was excellent- very cortious and kind all around - from dining room staff to reception clerks, the gift store salesperson and other employees around the hotel. I asked and received a shower robe with slippers, very fast. The room is pleasant and comfortable. The view from the hotel lobby is incredible since the hotel is situated in mount scopus and has a view to mount temple on a clear day. There is much room to sit and relax on the public areas. There is a shabat elevator. The thing I was missing is hot water for tea in shabbat, there was no machine in the lobby. Also the floor in the pool is very slippery, the hotel should address that. Another thing is to notify women guests there is a womens' only hot tub, something a lot of guests would like. There is a synaguage with scheduled prayers. Overall we had a lovely stay and I would definitely go back there.…
Our longest stay in Israel was our 3rd stop. Bed slept well. We had a view facing to the Old City. Check in staff was very good, Seems the dining staff was just not up to par compared to Dan in Tel Aviv. The food ( buffet, breakfast and Dinner for our tour) was sadly cold for items that should be hot like Oatmeal and or Soup. Many other items that should have been hot were just warm. Carpet in the room needed some help.
Overall we had a good experience at the Dan Jerusalem, and stayed several days. Pros: Rooms are in good shape, and have decent wifi and electrical outlets. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Best part of the hotel is the buffet breakfast and dinner, included with the room. Lots of options for any taste. The desserts are absolutely fantastic! Service was very good throughout our stay. Cons: The hotel is dated and needing a refresh. Lots of wear showing in the rooms. The location is not great - not in a good walkable location, and our room faced the west with no view whatsoever. No restaurants close by. The AC for the entire building is turned off, and we were not comfortable opening our door onto the patio for cool air at night, given that it would be very easy to come into our room from an adjacent room.…
I’m sure this hotel was great in its heyday but it’s sadly in need of renovations. The interior is dark and the carpets in the halls are dark. Our room was dark and the carpet was musty. In fact, our bathroom smelled like a sewer! We had a light out and though we requested a replacement, it wasn’t done. We had to open our balcony door to let in some fresh air and it was cold so we couldn’t leave it open for very long. Our group stayed here for five nights and included the buffet breakfast and dinner. It would have been helpful if they had labeled the food in English so we would know what it was. Otherwise there was a lot of food choices which were typical of this area. I think with some serious updating this could be a great hotel once again.
Lovely Hotel, I spent 2 nights and the service was excellent. The rooms were exquisite ,the staff were very courteous and the food was sumptous . I highy recommend it. I slept like a baby especailly after a busy dy walking aroud Jerusalem.
