We needed the closest hotel possible to the Hebrew University and this was it. Breakfast was really good, although rice and pizza are usually not on the breakfast menu at our house. The hotel ambiance was a little like Last Year at Marienbad, if anyone remembers those silent twisting corridors, but that was fine. What was not fine was housekeeping,...

The Dan Jerusalem Hotel was the last of 5 hotels our group stayed in during a 12 day visit to Israel. We stayed for 5 nights, the longest of our hotel experiences. Our stay at the Dan was similar to several others - an older facility in need of significant upgrades staffed by earnest and pleasant professionals. The hotel deals...

Wonderful reception staff with great English skills. The hotel is beautiful and the lobby is well decorated. The buffet meals are excellent. Great variety. Can be a little slow if a number of groups all arrive at the same time. The restaurant staff were very attentive and corrected any issues right away.

The hotel's best time is over. Old furniture with ton of stains on carpets, chairs etc. This large hotel might be good for group tours - at least in February, these groups dominate tpye of guests. It becomes a real challenge if a group comes for breaktfast at the same time with you - it gets so crowded... Unfortunately, there...

Stayed at this hotel as part of a tour to Israel. It is a beautiful hotel in the north of the city with panoramic views and amazing terraces. It is easy to get to the city centre from here by train or bus

We stayed for two nights and generally the hotel was ok but now looking somewhat tired in places. A very large reception area staffed by really good and well trained people gives an excellent first impression and our standard room was large showing the age of the hotel as new ones just don't have standard rooms of that size. The...

This was the fifth time since 2011 that we've spent 1-2 weeks' stay at the Dan Jerusalem, and it's as good as ever. It's conveniently located near the Ammunition Hill light rail station, and also the on-ramp to Highway 1. The rooms are comfortable and large, and most reasonably priced. For the past two years at least there's been free...

In my 5 trips to Israel, the Dan Jerusalem Hotel has become something of a home away from home. First, the style of the hotel is clean and modern while still maintaining the aesthetic of its historical surroundings. The cascading water feature from the 6th floor lobby to the 4th floor lounge (yes, many of the rooms are on descending...

I traveled with my co-workers trough my work place to this hotel for 2 night stay on a weekend. The hotel is a bit complicated and it took us a long time to find our room. When we entered the room the smell was so terrible I couldn't stay even a minute! We asked to replace the room, but the...
