A fabulous hotel, situated like an oasis in the Arabic part of Jerusalem. Rooms nicely decorated, spacious, with nice views. Fantastic breakfast. Elegant bar. Pool, gym, and even a sauna provide for relaxation, as well. Very attentive and friendly service. Only downside: Very pricy restaurant.

Great Hotel just outside the Old City of Jerusalem. Very comfortable and the staff could not have been more polite and eager to please. Breakfast was simply excellent and the home made marmalade was to die for. I had room 51 - a deluxe room with a little private garden which was very comfortable and wonderful to have a bit...

For the past 10 years i've been staying or had my guests and work colleagues stay at this wonderful hotel, the staff is mostly permanent and greet the returning guests by name,it`s a Rose amongst the Thorns of this War torn region.Don`t stay anywhere else while visiting Israel this is where you want to be based while working or exploring Jerusalem.

I simply do not want to even think of staying in another hotel in East Jerusalem. Two things to single out among the rest: on the premises a bookshop which one would like to raid beyond the limit of normal suitcases and reading capacity, and on the menu the best Wiener Schnitzel outside Vienna (and certainly better than most in...

We spent our last night in Israel at The American Colony, which proved to be the highlight of our holiday. The hotel exudes the history of Palestine in the first half twentieth century. Lawrence stayed here, as well as most other key players of that time. The rooms are very comfortable and the service is excellent. We had a wonderful...

The American Colony is a one-of-a-kind place of character and charm. Unique public spaces like the Cellar Bar (in the winter), the outdoor garden Summer Bar (in warmer weather), the Courtyard, and the pool, all make this an incredible property. The staff is professional and friendly and quick to recognize and welcome back return visitors. This is one of my...

It is great to be at a place that represents a bastion of peace and compassion in Jerusalem. It is also nice to not worry about breakfast being Kosher (a small problem, I know, but breakfast here is awesome). The staff attends to every detail. The rooms are not just nice, but historically interesting places. I immensely enjoyed the gardens...
